[00:00:00] I'm saying that we struggle all our lives to answer it, that it's the struggle that is important. That's what helps us to define our place in the universe.

[00:00:09] This is Beverly, Dr. Beverly, Dr. Dr. Beverly Crusher.

[00:00:16] Honest. Forceful. Trusting. Brilliant. Strong. And adventurous. And this is Crusher Convo.

[00:00:28] All right, guys. Welcome to Crusher Convo where we are crushing the conversation one episode at a time.

[00:00:34] And tonight I am super excited because I am joined by my friend and co-worker Alexa, who has never seen Star Trek before.

[00:00:42] And we are going to discuss episode five of Lower Decks Starbase 80, question mark, exclamation mark, because no one wanted to be there.

[00:00:51] Now, Alexa, thank you for doing this. And are you ready?

    [00:00:54] I think so.

    [00:00:56] I hope so.

[00:00:57] I'm a little bit nervous. I still don't feel like I really know why you asked me to be on, but I'm really excited.

[00:01:03] Because I wanted us to have fun.

    [00:01:05] I'm honored.

[00:01:06] And you were upset that I never interviewed you. And so I was like, well, then come on my show.

[00:01:11] I feel like that was a joke that I made that then...

    [00:01:13] Bit you.

    [00:01:14] Yeah, yeah.

[00:01:15] It came back to bite me.

[00:01:16] It came back to bite you.

[00:01:17] Now, guys, thank you, Dave and Chuck, for being in the chat.

[00:01:20] Let me know if we sound good because I've never done this duel on one mic before.

[00:01:26] So, yeah, just let me know.

[00:01:28] But let me put here...

[00:01:30] See, Chuck says hi, everyone.

    [00:01:33] Dave says deja vu.

    [00:01:36] And yes, happy Friday.

[00:01:38] So, anyways, before we get started, I do have to mention...

[00:01:43] Last Friday, after I finished my live, I got the sad news that Tony Todd passed away at the age of 69, just short of his 70th birthday.

[00:01:53] He was well-known in the sci-fi and horror world, especially from Candyman, Xena, and the Final Destination franchise.

[00:02:00] We, of course, knew him as Worf's brother, Kern, older Jake Sisko from Deep Space Nine in The Visitor, and was also on Voyager as an alpha Hirogen in the episode Prey.

[00:02:11] He loved interacting with the fans on social media and was just a super kind soul.

[00:02:17] I got to tweet with him a couple of times and he was just the best.

[00:02:20] I was absolutely devastated when I heard the news, especially because I grew up with Xena and I remember him very well from the series.

[00:02:27] And of course, the day after his passing, Pluto TV had played all of his episodes.

[00:02:33] So that was hard to watch.

[00:02:36] But yeah, it was very, very sad.

    [00:02:40] And definitely...

[00:02:43] We've had a lot of deaths in the franchise just in the last couple of months.

    [00:02:47] We lost Patty Yasutake.

[00:02:48] We lost James, Darren, Jerry, Taylor, and now Tony.

    [00:02:52] And it's...

[00:02:53] We're not even done with the year yet.

[00:02:54] So, yes, Chuck, rest in peace, Tony, Todd.

    [00:03:00] And yeah, it was...

    [00:03:02] It was not fun.

[00:03:03] So, anyways, but let's start having fun.

    [00:03:07] Can we?

    [00:03:08] You ready?

[00:03:08] Are you ready for this?

    [00:03:09] I think I guess so.

    [00:03:10] You're like, I hope so.

[00:03:12] All right, but let's do a really quick clip.

    [00:03:14] So here we go.

    [00:03:14] Starbase 80.

[00:03:16] Looks like you're with me.

    [00:03:17] Mom, come on.

    [00:03:18] Please, please.

[00:03:19] Give me, give me Hotic Waste Removered Duty.

[00:03:20] Anything that takes me back to the Cerritos, please.

    [00:03:23] Aw, man.

[00:03:24] These systems are all old and weird.

[00:03:26] I was dreaming about working on something new.

[00:03:28] Have you dreamed of being cursed?

    [00:03:31] All right.

    [00:03:32] So, Alexa.

    [00:03:33] First impression...

[00:03:34] You've never seen Star Trek.

    [00:03:36] You know about it.

[00:03:41] Being on TV, like my dad.

[00:03:44] You're talking about Kurt Spock and those.

    [00:03:46] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

    [00:03:46] Like the original, original.

    [00:03:48] And I remember that I...

[00:03:49] Like I know this thing that I...

[00:03:52] And I remember that I could never do it.

[00:03:55] Because my fingers don't close.

[00:03:57] You're not the only one.

    [00:03:59] And it was embarrassing.

    [00:04:00] Yeah.

[00:04:01] But I don't know anything else really about it.

[00:04:05] And I hear you have questions for me.

    [00:04:06] I have a question.

    [00:04:08] That's totally fine.

[00:04:09] But what was your first...

[00:04:10] Since this is like your official intro to the Star Trek universe with this episode of Lower Decks, what was your first impression of it?

[00:04:20] I mean, it seems definitely different.

[00:04:23] Definitely like more comedic than the OG Star Trek.

    [00:04:30] It was cute.

[00:04:31] I was surprised at how short the episodes were.

    [00:04:33] Right, right.

[00:04:35] But it did make me want to like go back and watch previous episodes.

    [00:04:43] Okay.

[00:04:43] Because I was like, I am a little lost.

    [00:04:47] But it was...

    [00:04:47] It's season five.

    [00:04:48] So you're definitely behind.

[00:04:51] So, but no, it was, it was cute.

[00:04:53] It was like sillier than I think I had thought it was going to be.

    [00:04:59] Anticipated.

[00:05:00] And I mean, and there's a lot of very serious Star Trek shows.

    [00:05:03] Uh huh.

[00:05:05] Strange New Worlds, which is supposed to be pre OG.

[00:05:08] So pre Kirk and Spock, even though Spock's on it.

[00:05:12] They have some dark episodes.

[00:05:13] If you like, like aliens, you would love these episodes.

[00:05:17] So, but this one is supposed to be funny.

[00:05:18] It's making fun of the stuff that even us are like.

    [00:05:21] And that's what I was thinking.

[00:05:22] I was like, that's dumb, but okay.

    [00:05:24] Kind of parody ish.

    [00:05:26] Very parody.

[00:05:26] But obviously like a different universe, different cat like characters.

    [00:05:31] Yeah.

[00:05:32] But also it honors the franchise.

[00:05:35] So as much as it will make fun of certain things, it also honors it by remembering certain

[00:05:40] things that a lot of people won't like.

[00:05:42] You could watch it and just enjoy it while like fans like us, like I have Easter eggs

    [00:05:46] on my list.

[00:05:47] And I'm sure you guys caught on to some Easter eggs, but yeah, for you, you're all like they

    [00:05:54] have whales.

    [00:05:54] Yeah.

[00:05:55] So for us, I'm like, there's whales.

[00:05:57] Um, but what you had a couple of questions.

    [00:06:00] What was.

    [00:06:01] So, okay.

[00:06:02] Well, one of like my first thought when the episode started, since I haven't seen other

[00:06:09] ones, I haven't seen like the other seasons obviously was I could tell that this, the main

[00:06:14] girl, which Mariner Mariner, she was like the main girl and her mom is the captain.

    [00:06:23] Yes.

[00:06:24] I was wondering who is her dad.

[00:06:27] The dad is where's the father.

    [00:06:30] Okay.

[00:06:30] Correct me if I'm wrong guys, Dave and Chuck, but he's an admiral.

[00:06:33] And so he's on a space station.

[00:06:36] So Freeman and the ad they're still married.

    [00:06:39] They're cool.

    [00:06:40] Okay.

    [00:06:41] Okay.

[00:06:41] But Mariner was basically a, um, troublemaker.

[00:06:47] And is that why she got banished from before?

[00:06:50] Because I was wondering, I was like, her mom seems like her mom's a little rude.

    [00:06:57] Um, she's a little, she's a little much.

[00:06:59] Like I said, she's gotten better though.

    [00:07:01] She's gotten better.

    [00:07:02] Uh-huh.

[00:07:02] Mariner definitely caused a lot of trouble.

    [00:07:04] I see.

[00:07:04] And she's saying that she was banished to Starbase 80.

    [00:07:08] Yes.

[00:07:08] Like a couple of years ago or whatever.

    [00:07:10] Yeah.

[00:07:10] And so like her mom or her parents sent her there as like a reform.

    [00:07:16] Yes.

[00:07:16] Because they thought she did something horrible when it wasn't true, but yeah, that's like

[00:07:22] the place to go when you are like banished, like when you're, you're in trouble.

    [00:07:26] Okay.

[00:07:27] But we always thought of Starbase 80 as this horrible thing and come to find out it actually

[00:07:32] is not as bad as we thought it was.

    [00:07:33] Right.

[00:07:34] So, and like she said in the episode, she said, I coming back here, I thought I'm the

[00:07:39] same old person she's trying to change.

[00:07:41] She's trying to do better.

[00:07:43] And she just kind of thought of this place as horrible because that's why she was there.

    [00:07:48] She was banished there.

[00:07:49] So she just automatically assumed it was bad.

[00:07:51] Not really realizing how it wasn't.

[00:07:54] How long was like, how much time did she spend there?

[00:07:56] She was on, she was only there a little bit.

[00:07:59] She wasn't there for very long.

[00:08:00] Cause she ended up just leaving Starfleet left 80 and try to do something on her own.

[00:08:05] And is she supposed to be like a teenager or like, no, she's in her.

    [00:08:09] She's in her thirties.

    [00:08:10] Yeah.

[00:08:11] Late twenties, early thirties, but yeah.

    [00:08:14] Interesting.

    [00:08:15] Yeah.

[00:08:15] Because as an ensign, you can be really any age.

[00:08:19] You can join in at any age.

[00:08:21] It's not like college where you're like young and.

    [00:08:23] I see.

    [00:08:24] Well, it's like college.

[00:08:25] You can join at any age.

    [00:08:27] So, but yeah.

    [00:08:29] That makes, okay.

    [00:08:30] That makes more sense.

[00:08:30] They, they were, they were ensigns.

[00:08:33] They were the lower deckers.

[00:08:34] They were on the bottom of the barrel and they just got promoted as junior grade lieutenants.

[00:08:38] So now they have more responsibilities.

[00:08:40] You're seeing this growth over these last five years of these characters.

[00:08:44] Like Boimler was always on the book, on the nose, be good.

    [00:08:48] This happens.

[00:08:49] And now he's being a little bit more playful and doing more things that, and Mariner now

    [00:08:53] more responsible.

[00:08:55] But before she was like, throw me in the brig, you know, because she just didn't want to follow

    [00:09:00] authority.

[00:09:01] Does she want to be like captain, like her mom is?

    [00:09:04] No.

    [00:09:04] Someday?

    [00:09:05] No.

[00:09:05] She doesn't want to have that kind of authority, but she definitely feels like before her whole

[00:09:15] story arc actually ended last year because her best friend died and she held onto that

[00:09:21] and she just didn't want to grow into any position.

[00:09:26] She wanted to stay at the bottom of the barrel because she was so hurt.

    [00:09:29] That was last season.

[00:09:30] Oh, that's kind of heavy.

    [00:09:31] Yeah.

[00:09:31] And it's one of those episodes.

[00:09:33] It was actually a next generation episode called lower decks.

[00:09:38] And this character, it's a horribly sad, like horribly sad, but he based this show off

    [00:09:45] of that one episode.

[00:09:47] And so he made Mariner friends with the girl that passed away.

[00:09:50] So spoilers, she died, but, but it was horribly sad.

[00:09:54] I kept calling this show of the last like week, knowing I was going to be on this and

[00:09:59] then I had that I was going to watch this.

    [00:10:00] Yeah.

[00:10:00] So I kept calling it.

[00:10:01] I was like, it's Star Trek below deck.

    [00:10:04] The reality show.

    [00:10:06] Hey, that's close.

    [00:10:07] I was close.

    [00:10:09] I was closer than I thought.

    [00:10:12] It's fine.

[00:10:13] It's basically the same thing.

[00:10:14] Chuck says, instance of command.

    [00:10:16] That was an episode.

[00:10:18] That's an episode, right, Chuck?

[00:10:19] Chuck and then yes, lower decks.

    [00:10:22] Lower decks.

    [00:10:22] That's a chant that they did.

[00:10:26] But yeah, so there's there's this whole arc.

[00:10:28] So this season, like when I interviewed Mike McMahon, who created the show, I had asked

[00:10:33] him, you know, what's going to happen with Mariner now that her story kind of came full

[00:10:37] circle and she's like Mariner is free.

[00:10:39] Like this is now her season to just kind of finally be who she was always meant to be.

    [00:10:44] So that's what we're seeing.

[00:10:46] Like she was like enjoying science.

[00:10:47] Like she's actually allowing herself to enjoy being in Starfleet instead of just trying

[00:10:51] to rebel from all of it.

[00:10:54] And then Boimler is doing something different instead of just always being on the nose,

[00:10:57] you know, book nerd and following the rules.

    [00:10:59] He's now exploring.

    [00:11:01] Which one is Boimler?

[00:11:01] Boimler is the purple hair.

    [00:11:03] Okay.

    [00:11:04] Purple mustache.

    [00:11:06] Purple mustache.

[00:11:07] Which that is also another thing.

    [00:11:09] He never had one.

[00:11:10] And now he's trying to grow it.

[00:11:11] So he's on his own.

[00:11:12] So if you're coming to my head.

[00:11:13] The whole, the whole beard thing is its own.

[00:11:16] It's its own story arc right now.

[00:11:19] My other question was, I think I had asked you about this, like, like impersonal time.

    [00:11:26] But so the colors.

    [00:11:29] The colors.

    [00:11:30] The colors.

[00:11:30] So they're like, I feel like this main, at least in this episode, the main group of characters

    [00:11:35] I have written down.

    [00:11:36] I have, there's the mom.

    [00:11:38] The mom.

[00:11:38] And then the daughter who is like the lead I'm guessing.

    [00:11:41] Mariner, right?

    [00:11:41] Yeah.

[00:11:42] Then I have buff guy.

    [00:11:45] Ransom.

[00:11:46] And I have, I have purple mustache guy.

    [00:11:50] Spoiler.

    [00:11:50] Yeah.

    [00:11:51] And they're all red.

    [00:11:52] They're all red.

[00:11:53] And then I have green girl who wears blue.

    [00:11:56] Correct.

    [00:11:57] Tendi.

[00:11:57] And the glasses guy who wears yellow.

    [00:12:00] Yes.

    [00:12:01] That's Rutherford.

[00:12:02] So engineering and security are yellow.

    [00:12:07] I don't know.

[00:12:08] I'm like writing it down.

    [00:12:10] Okay.

    [00:12:10] Yeah.

[00:12:12] Blue is medical and silent.

[00:12:14] So as you can see, Beverly Crusher is wearing blue because she was, she's a doctor.

    [00:12:19] Red was command.

    [00:12:22] Why did command officer.

[00:12:23] Why are there so, so many command-ers?

[00:12:27] Well, I mean, you could be a commander.

    [00:12:30] Like she's a commander.

[00:12:31] Like when she was a chief medical officer, she was commander Beverly Crusher, but she was

[00:12:35] also the doctor and you, she, she, she should have worn purple then.

[00:12:41] So it was more of like, um, kind of being, you know, in charge of something like leading.

    [00:12:51] A department.

    [00:12:52] Right.

[00:12:52] So like the captain is red.

    [00:12:54] He's in command.

[00:12:55] Like that was his, and even the admirals, there's no blue admirals.

[00:12:59] So the commanders are more what?

[00:13:01] Like people who like run the ship.

    [00:13:03] Mm-hmm.

[00:13:03] Like do, do the, navigate it, navigate or even doing, um, yeah.

[00:13:09] So like navigation would be red.

[00:13:12] Um, but just so you know, in the original series with like Spock and Kirk, Kirk wore yellow because

[00:13:18] that was command red was security and engineering.

    [00:13:22] They flipped it.

[00:13:23] When, when the next generation came out.

    [00:13:26] Why?

    [00:13:27] I, I, I don't know.

[00:13:30] And unfortunately, Jude Rondenberry passed away, so we can't ask him.

[00:13:34] Unfortunately, he's no longer with us.

    [00:13:35] So I can't answer that question.

[00:13:37] I think it was just a change.

    [00:13:39] Okay.

[00:13:40] They just wanted a different, but it looked better.

[00:13:42] I think in my opinion, the red stood out more.

[00:13:45] I think that's why he wanted to make the change.

[00:13:46] We were, do you remember we were talking about how like in school, like you had different

[00:13:50] notebook colors and red, you see math.

    [00:13:53] Red was math.

[00:13:53] English was, what was it?

[00:13:55] I don't remember, but is there any green or is it just red, blue and yellow?

    [00:14:00] Mm-hmm.

    [00:14:01] Yeah.

    [00:14:01] Okay.

    [00:14:03] Okay.

    [00:14:04] Yeah.

    [00:14:04] All right.

    [00:14:05] The primary colors.

    [00:14:07] Interesting.

    [00:14:07] Yeah.

[00:14:08] So that's how, but blue always stayed the same science and medical.

    [00:14:11] Huh?

[00:14:12] Chuck says, great episode to watch is those old scientists on strange new worlds.

    [00:14:17] Very true.

[00:14:18] One of the best episodes you would ever see.

[00:14:20] And what it is, is that it's lower decks and strange new worlds crossover.

    [00:14:25] A crossover episode.

[00:14:27] But the animation and they come alive.

[00:14:30] So like the animated characters become real people or the real people become animated.

    [00:14:36] You gotta watch.

    [00:14:37] Oh boy.

[00:14:39] It's one of the best episodes ever.

[00:14:42] Like I was so impressed by how well they did it.

[00:14:46] Chuck says, no more red shirts dying on TOS.

[00:14:48] So there's a joke because always the people wearing a red shirt always died on the original

    [00:14:53] series.

[00:14:53] That's probably why they have so many of them because they.

    [00:14:55] So many.

    [00:14:56] So I'm like, let's switch it.

[00:14:58] Now the yellow shirts, but they actually don't die as much.

[00:15:00] So I guess that's, that was the part of it.

[00:15:03] Now I did mention, as I was explaining to Alexa about Mariner, she's loving her job and was

[00:15:11] kind of acting like Boimler where he was saying that's cool.

[00:15:13] Um, cause she was like, oh my gosh, now I sound like Boimler.

    [00:15:17] Okay.

[00:15:18] So I was just going to go to me and have to be on the other side.

    [00:15:25] We're going to go.

[00:15:30] So, so I'm going to go.

[00:15:41] And I'm going to go.

[00:15:47] okay he's the father of jack i like that you have puppets it's good for someone like me

[00:15:52] thanks to my husband who bought these for me but yes it's picard apparently

[00:15:58] and then they had jack who she hid she got pregnant and left and never told picard

[00:16:02] until 20 years later whole thing but she can't really blame him for being an absent father

[00:16:11] if he didn't know there's reasons okay well we'll get into that later but

[00:16:16] caspera prime was a special place for them so when i heard her say that i was like

[00:16:21] my my you know uh we call them the the ship name is called procresor you know how you like you put

[00:16:27] two names together as a ship my procresor heart was hurting but it's fine it's like ship and like

[00:16:35] ship ship oh no when they say this this is what's funny people are like who's your favorite ship

[00:16:41] and people are like are you talking about ships or give me something different like do you want to

[00:16:46] hear like i love the enterprise d and crusher so yes it's kind of confusing in this franchise

[00:16:53] oh so enterprise was actually referenced a lot so enterprise star trek or enterprise was the fourth

[00:16:59] show that aired in the 90s so it was the next generation deep space nine voyager and enterprise

[00:17:05] so there was a lot of television shows in the 80s and 90s you were not around um i think you were

[00:17:12] born in the middle of voyager that's what happened um so enterprise started in 2002

[00:17:19] but that was supposed to be like pre pre pre kirk spock and mccoy oh and so it was like right when

[00:17:26] they first started so when they were in the decon chamber and they were rubbing all that stuff on

[00:17:30] them that was a call back to that show oh that was another because when i think of like a decontamination

[00:17:36] i think of like you go in and it's like like steam or something and i was like what is what even is

[00:17:42] this gel and what does that that's what she said there's a reason why it got banned because he was

[00:17:47] putting it all over and she's like maybe you need to be careful i like i that's i will say that's one

[00:17:52] part i didn't get i'm like they're putting just a call back gel to okay yeah it's a call back yeah

[00:17:58] so and then even the outfit so like the the person we saw on starbase 80 cassia knox she's wearing

[00:18:07] that that blue jumper that was a enterprise outfit that was what they used to originally wear before the

[00:18:15] whole blue and yellow and red and all that stuff so that's where so there was a lot of callbacks to

[00:18:21] enterprise and then um she ended up being uh an elurian which that was whoopi goldberg's character

[00:18:32] whoopi goldberg was on the next generation i didn't know that yeah that's why i didn't want to tell you

[00:18:38] yeah she loved star trek so much because of michelle nichols who was the comms person uh in the original

[00:18:46] series and she felt that that was a way of showing that you know black people were in the future and

[00:18:53] not only in the future she was on the bridge doing a very important job so star trek was so important

[00:18:57] to her as a child that she called lavar burton who played geordie with the visor okay and said i want

[00:19:04] to be on the show when they got her on the show how long was she on the show she was on it for the

[00:19:09] first six uh season two to season six when was it what what year was this this was so tng started in

[00:19:18] 1987 and then ended in 1994 huh yeah that's cool and she was like not a she wasn't a regular but she

[00:19:24] was on there and she was the bartender so she always had good advice but she was like 300 400 years old

[00:19:29] which is why mariner they have a bartender on the ship there was a bar it's called 10-4 well there

[00:19:34] should be i was in space i was living in space and almost dying every day you just need to like and

[00:19:42] if i had to land on a planet to go to a bar i'd be like i'm not taking that job so that's too smart

[00:19:47] well here's the sad part so they ended up doing synthahol so all the alcohol was not real because

[00:19:53] they wanted them to like be able to not like get drunk and fly ship well that's fair but like if you

[00:20:00] live if you work on a ship and you live there couldn't you like drink on your off day do you

[00:20:06] know you get like a weekend the car's family did come from a vineyard so he did have the real stuff

[00:20:12] hidden away interesting so yes that's a whole other story though

[00:20:17] i want to see here chuck says i bought the hallmark beverly crusher ornament yesterday actually can you

[00:20:22] hand me that box right there he bought this yesterday it's cute yes and remember the uh contest

[00:20:32] ended because i had 200 subscribers and dr rda won this and i'm good to send that to her so i'm super

[00:20:39] super excited but yeah actually my mom texts me she's like can i have it and i was like it's for the

[00:20:45] giveaway i can't so i had to go buy her one you should have entered are you a subscriber and let's

[00:20:52] see if you win maddie tried to do that my daughter subscribed she's like so when do i get my ornament

[00:20:57] i was like that's not how it works actually i did listen to that part of your the last podcast you

[00:21:01] were on it but you didn't win because you didn't subscribe i was gonna say i wait i'm a subscriber

[00:21:07] at all you are and you joined you were a new subscriber i there's a little wheel it says alexa

[00:21:12] on there that you didn't win i'm sorry i usually don't i'm pretty it would i was not to say this

[00:21:18] but it would have so saved me on postage but i'm very happy for dr rda so we're fine

[00:21:27] um yes chuck chateau picard that is where he lived he lived he was a british man who lived in

[00:21:33] france oh well actually picard's supposed to be french but played by a british actor

    [00:21:42] okay it's a whole thing it's a whole thing that's a whole other story guys maybe we'll do

[00:21:46] a bonus episode so anyway so back to starbase 80 of course mariner is like not happy to be here and

[00:21:54] like she was even saying she was like this place is cursed things are going on of course as everyone

[00:21:59] just started becoming zombies um i think i noticed right off the bat that it was only

[00:22:05] the cerritos crew instead of like people from starbase 80 so i did not know it was only the

[00:22:11] cerritos crew because i don't think you knew i was i was thinking that the cerritos crew was

[00:22:16] the people that we met in the chamber putting the gel on and then i realized i was like

[00:22:24] how big is this i was i just thought that it was just them on the ship actually and so i did not

[00:22:31] there's hundreds of people on the cerritos ship so then i was like oh there must be a lot of people

[00:22:37] on the ship and they all got off apparently they all went to starbase 80 they all went well i mean

[00:22:43] some of them did because remember how he was saying how could he be affected when he's on the

[00:22:48] cerritos you know right so it was because it was happening on the cerritos right right right yes yeah

[00:22:54] but actually the enterprise d which was the next generation actually that that ship right there

    [00:23:00] that was 1014 people

[00:23:04] she had she had to take care of a lot of people

[00:23:08] it's a lot of people only doctor she was well she was the chief medical officer but she had other

[00:23:13] doctors like she needed she needed a day off she was also a vet oh because data had data had a cat

[00:23:21] named spot and she had kittens and she delivered the kit so here's one of them there was like a cat

[00:23:26] humanoid type of uh character diana yeah that was that's their chief medical officer that was like

[00:23:32] when when they started turning to zombies and stuff then i was like oh there's a lot of people on the

[00:23:37] ship and also that is on but she's she's a like a like not just a cat she's you know the medical officer

[00:23:48] but it's also there was like a cat creature in the original series so it's kind of an homage to her

[00:23:53] and also her because it's an orange cat red hair the whole whole thing oh yeah so this what i'm talking

[00:24:00] about that showrunner mike is he's a fan he knows his star trek i'm even learning all of this so now

[00:24:09] the akamarians were another easter egg you had no idea which was from tng's vengeance factor if you

[00:24:18] guys remember this was the episode i believe in season three where reicher fell in love with that

[00:24:24] servant and they had to make peace between the rebels and whoever that older lady was but finding

[00:24:31] now that the one that he was falling in love with was actually 500 years old and was there to kill

[00:24:37] people and he ended up having to kill her oh no i'm gonna tell you right now star trek is not a

[00:24:44] happy-go-lucky show it's very depressing it makes sense it's like space seems cool but it's dangerous

[00:24:52] yeah i don't know i don't think i would want to no i don't think i could hack it out there to be honest

[00:24:58] i'm good on earth it's like camping but worse especially oh man you should watch voyager

[00:25:06] because they were in there's four quadrants okay that they find out so there's quadrants of space

[00:25:13] yeah so there's alpha which is where earth is and there's beta delta and um oh gosh what's the

[00:25:19] other greek word beta delta alpha beta maybe zeta

[00:25:28] uh no i'm just thinking i know i'm gonna be i know me too but they got pi five no i wish that would

[00:25:36] have been easy pi would have been cool uh 3.14 blah blah blah um but they got pushed to alpha to

[00:25:43] the delta quadrant which was like seven deep like hundreds of years to get back and so they had to

[00:25:51] try and find their way home that's the whole the whole show but can't like when you're in space you

[00:25:56] can move at like light speed even if they went at light speed it was still gonna take like 100 years

[00:26:04] so that's how far like you don't go well but they accidentally got it was an accident it wasn't

[00:26:09] if you win everyone would be dead by the time you're not there exactly they would they would not have

[00:26:14] made it so they had to try and find another way home to get back like a wormhole or something

[00:26:18] that's the whole but they ran into some really serious i think space probably not for me

[00:26:24] space is not for us guys i'm so sorry we're just we're gonna stay here on earth we're fine

[00:26:31] i'd be of no use up there to anyone no i mean i already get seasick so i don't even know what's

[00:26:37] gonna happen in states decontaminating the whole gravity thing gravity goes out you're flying all over

[00:26:43] the whole gravity thing there's no one they even mentioned that in starbase 80 the gravity plate was

[00:26:48] upside down remember they fell oh that would have oh yeah during that scene that would have absolutely

[00:26:52] made me hurl uh the second i walked in there that would have just happened to us because

[00:26:58] that's just our luck that's one of the things i was like they they were so chill about that they

[00:27:02] were just all of a sudden like upside down the ceiling and they were like oh like oh this is just

[00:27:07] happens every day but i guess if you are in space long enough to get used to things like that

[00:27:13] i suppose which i think those are things you shouldn't get used to well not us no no not

[00:27:20] not us for sure um i did laugh at the part of ramsyn and freeman taking the stairs because the

[00:27:28] whole joke is like there's no more stairs anywhere like they they teleport and so he was all like hey

[00:27:34] old-fashioned joke there i like hey he was my favorite i ransom the the buff guy yeah the buff guy yeah

[00:27:41] and i normally wouldn't like the buff guy character right i i liked him i thought he was funny i liked

    [00:27:49] him that's after jerry o'connell jerry o'connell i'll show you some pictures it's fine it's okay it's

[00:28:01] okay trust me the moment i show her a picture she's like oh that guy i mean i could say stand by me with

[00:28:07] will wheaton but long before her time i'm not putting these into faces no it's fine right if i

[00:28:13] saw a picture i'd be like honestly if i yeah honestly if i show you a couple of people's

[00:28:18] pictures of who are doing the voices you'd be like oh my gosh i can't believe that like i told you the

[00:28:23] one that does boimler's voice is the son of meg ryan and uh dennis quaid i think you did yeah

[00:28:29] yeah so he's hilarious takes after his parents obviously um so i'm gonna check real fast on

[00:28:36] instagram to see if anyone is here so sci-fi remnant says alexa welcome to the best club online

[00:28:44] thank you thank you thank you um chuck says stairway to the stars yeah what was it like 30 floors they

[00:28:51] went up but ransom was loving and freeman was mean like okay just so you know guys so you guys all know

[00:28:58] that we had a renovation at our work because i was tweeting about it a lot like oh my gosh i can't

[00:29:02] survive this we got put in the basement there's no elevator we have to take the stairs constantly and

[00:29:08] i'm my knees that's like one flight that's that's enough it's brutal especially because we have to

[00:29:15] dress nice our heels like it's not no 30 flights is i that's insanity when i was in college i would walk

[00:29:23] i would do 12 flights because i was always late and then there'd be a line for the elevators

[00:29:27] and i just you're like no i knew i would be even later so i would take the stairs and that was

[00:29:31] like i was sweating so 30 flights but he thought he's like in what was he saying in glutes like

[00:29:38] i like i like to feel the burn yeah maybe it's different though when you're well but they have

[00:29:43] gravity and then i was gonna say maybe it's different in space you're like a little bit bouncier

[00:29:49] i don't think so freeman wasn't feeling it she was like i'm not feeling any lighter she was

[00:29:55] she was huffing and puffing and the thing about freeman where you you you you called her the a b word

[00:30:02] i just as someone who didn't who doesn't know the character character she has that vibe yeah

[00:30:11] yeah she has that vibe yeah she has gotten better okay she has she has she was very uptight i think

[00:30:18] and especially in the beginning especially her having to deal with mariner who was always just like

[00:30:22] a problem that makes more sense yeah she said she apologized but she's like i apologize like

[00:30:29] i laughed at that part because i'm like yeah that made it all better um i think poor mariner had to go

[00:30:33] to therapy after like after you know it was a whole thing actually that was another funny part where 10d

[00:30:40] was with the uh that one vendor with the old outfits and it had like burnt holes and stuff and

[00:30:47] she's like how did you make these like oh from the long dead starfleet i was like vintage

[00:30:52] i'm just all like yeah they're all that's all yeah um let me see here did you have any other

[00:30:59] questions or was that it i didn't really have any other questions or anything that came to your mind

[00:31:06] like who was like who stood out to you in this episode i i liked buff guy buff guy ransom he's funny

[00:31:12] mm-hmm um and i liked the only character's name that i remembered after i was done watching it

[00:31:22] was oh now i'm gonna forget it it was

[00:31:26] chad chad chad chad the hot dog guy the corn dog yeah at first i was like this is ridiculous you can't

[00:31:34] sell corn dogs in space but then i had to remind myself it's a it's a silly show yeah um well even

[00:31:40] voimler said that he was all like corn dogs you know they made it look like that level of starbase

[00:31:46] 80 looked like a like a mall almost like like i imagined it being like there's a corn dog stand

[00:31:52] and you can go over here and buy your space i think that was i think that was on purpose i think

[00:31:58] it was supposed to be a call back for deep space nine because they had a promenade and stuff like that

[00:32:03] it's supposed to look like yeah yeah yeah that's exactly what it looked like like there was a bar like

[00:32:08] corks bar and then those hollow sweets and stuff like that well and it was like this place looks

[00:32:12] kind of fun i don't know why mariners like freaking out i'm such a fuss i mean all these people are so

[00:32:17] chill she just needs to take a chill pill come calm down no but that's what was funny because they

[00:32:23] have replicators no one cooks anymore like you just say i want chicken pesto pasta and it'll appear

[00:32:30] so that's why they were surprised that they actually cooked on the space station i like the corn dog guy

[00:32:35] though he was yeah he was my favorite he saved the day i didn't expect for him to come back

[00:32:39] yeah so when he came back at the end of the episode i was like i remember him she said i'm bringing my

[00:32:45] two weirdos with me and it was the crazy doctor and who was half alien i liked him yeah he had a great

[00:32:52] attitude he did all the way through he's like i got this with his corn dogs he was very he you know i was

[00:32:57] afraid for his life actually they all were they thought he was gonna get killed and i think i don't know

[00:33:01] what they were doing were they licking him i'm not sure okay well that was another question i had was

[00:33:06] why so the i felt like the licking could have been a little bit better explained like i the the fact

[00:33:16] that it was i i i think i was a little confused by the end uh-huh of it because it was all of a sudden

[00:33:24] what's an anaphyasic life form and then then the green goo was in a cage and it was talking

[00:33:31] and i still i i caught the part where it said well it's like trying to reach out

[00:33:37] yeah to life forms corporate and that's that's why they were licking

[00:33:45] okay so guess what guys i get to talk about sub rosa um so an anaphasic life form has to connect

[00:33:52] with um okay let me see if i could do this again i gotta tap into my beverly pressure here for a

[00:33:57] second so at the end of sub rosa this anaphyasic life form abused her so it's a totally different

[00:34:05] story but she said anaphyasic energy is completely unstable they need an organic host in order to

[00:34:12] maintain molecular cohesion otherwise they will die that was so impressive it is literally like the

[00:34:18] only light in the entire series that i know but i have to say it because they thought she he was a

[00:34:23] ghost it's okay it's campy it's weird but i see it a different way so everyone thinks that let

[00:34:30] beverly crusher fell in love with the ghost okay but she didn't the anaphyasic life form pretended to be

[00:34:36] a ghost in order to feed off her energy for him to survive so he was actually killing her

[00:34:40] and then she became addicted to his energy so what was happening is that this particular

[00:34:45] anaphyasic life form was trying to just actually not kill anybody he was just trying to be friends

[00:34:50] with them really like let's be friends but he ended up taking over and they became zombies like they

[00:34:55] just and that's what because he he says at the end like he took on too many right yeah he stretched

[00:35:01] himself too thin so that's why they all became what did mariner say moronic yeah yeah they were not

[00:35:07] like all there that's why they kind of had that zombie test but that's why they kept licking the because the

[00:35:13] mind was in the ship the the because it's it's electricity and that's like how did it how did it

[00:35:20] get in there and get into the whales so the very beginning when they came back and they were taking

[00:35:26] off their wetsuits and stuff like that they had just came off of a planet oh and they were in water

[00:35:31] which is why the whales were with them oh and he kind of hitched a ride but he went into the ship

[00:35:36] like an algae or something yes yeah so this was so clem was a nice anaphasic energy we don't like

[00:35:44] ronan ronan was a bad energy very very bad but i still like the episode but anyways but i thought

[00:35:51] that was funny because i was like oh my gosh so brosa because he was an anaphasic energy yeah and

[00:35:57] that's why mariner made the joke saying what did what did she say guys she said you anaphasic ghost

[00:36:04] because that's a callback to sub rosa because they thought he was a ghost i see yeah so there's

[00:36:10] literally like you i had to watch this episode like seven times just to catch every thing that was said

[00:36:16] yeah i'm sure like if you know like all of like the lore of all the other star trek things and the

[00:36:22] the whole universe that's a zombie spinoff series starbase 80 yeah i feel like it could have been

[00:36:27] like a video game right yeah a zombie starbase city like i think they could totally do a comedy show

[00:36:34] just a starbase 80 i mean i liked cassia she was cool she's an allurian but only in her 30s she's not

[00:36:41] 500 years old um there was also oh and i think so that doctor that looked part alien part human uh-huh

[00:36:52] okay that was also another callback to identity crisis so it was called the

[00:36:58] tarkanian parasites which attach themselves to the thyroid change your dna into that blue species and

[00:37:05] you completely lose yourself and it almost took over i did think it was funny there was a line where he

[00:37:11] was like he was like they told me it wasn't noticeable it's like that's kind of noticeable um

[00:37:17] that was a good one i liked that that was funny those little moments is what makes the show funny

[00:37:21] yeah right actually there's a part where do you remember when they went on the cerritos because they

[00:37:26] were going to try and stop the whales okay and there was a guy that was like chewing on the wires the

[00:37:32] doors kept opening and shutting kind i remember the guy chewing on the wires and i remember the guy who

[00:37:39] kept pressing the button yeah the auto just struck back and forth yeah that's their chief engineer by the

[00:37:46] way but the guy where all of a sudden marina goes levick that's a callback to another episode

[00:37:53] i started laughing my head off because rutherford the one with the eye uh-huh the robot eye he had this

[00:38:01] how would you guys call it like a um trying to

[00:38:07] be better than levick okay but levick was always a step ahead and so when she saw and all every time

[00:38:13] he would see you go levick like that would be there and so she did it and so i started laughing because

[00:38:18] i knew exactly who they were talking about um ghost starring whoopie goldberg yeah

[00:38:25] that's funny because yes they mentioned the ghost and then an alarion and she was on

[00:38:31] there'll be whales here i know that let me explain to you about the whales okay thank you

[00:38:40] so they were the um cetacean ops they use the whales and water to like circulate to help with navigation

[00:38:49] no one more time i'm off i don't know the side i don't know the technical battle to this but they use

[00:38:57] mammals whales to help with navigation they're navigational species

[00:39:05] like with like their sounds and stuff with their sounds and even just like they did this in prodigy

[00:39:12] which is another animated series not as funny as this one but they used actual like uh like humpback

[00:39:19] whales to help with navigation okay instead of just using like computers interesting yeah how do they know

[00:39:27] how to navigate space well that's that's just like you suspend your disbelief

[00:39:34] i mean there's probably an actual technical term i just don't know it um so but those little like

[00:39:41] those little whales that got taken over they have little starfleet outfits i like them they were very

[00:39:47] cute yeah they're very they're very important to the job they've been in the they've been in the show

[00:39:52] before so that's why it was like oh no not the whales i thought they were manatees

[00:39:58] i don't think they're manatees oh what do we think i thought they were blue guys i feel like blue

[00:40:04] with the manatees kind of the same am i crazy honestly i agree with you so and we work together

[00:40:12] so we have a whole vibe what are manatees whales what are i thought manatees were are like seals like

[00:40:22] the sea lions guys are way bigger than seals well no but like the same we're gonna have to google this

[00:40:31] later they're not dolphins no they're not manatees are just manatees i thought they were part of the

[00:40:38] this is totally now we're going trust me that's what happens on especially on this show we get

[00:40:45] sidetracked a lot um but i do like that mariner did confess that she admitted that being there

[00:40:53] she she wasn't looking at the whole picture she was just kind of reminding herself of

[00:40:56] when she was last there she was just like devastated and so she didn't even pay attention

[00:41:01] that starbase 80 was even that bad and so for her to actually like realize oh shoot i

[00:41:08] probably should have paid more attention and not you know she kind of had to tap into herself and

[00:41:15] realize that she made mistakes and that's why she tried to sacrifice herself in order to save them

[00:41:20] i thought that that lady was going to end up being like bad or evil oh yeah and i liked that she wasn't

[00:41:28] wasn't and she was just quirky yeah you know and then that mariner like realized that that's fine like

[00:41:35] she's not it's not this horrible place the people are just a little different a little kooky a little

[00:41:42] different they're a little different what is it uh idic stands for infinite um

[00:41:49] oh infinite diversity and infinite combinations oh that's what star trek means idic

[00:41:57] i like that it's pretty it's a hope for a better future that's what it is dave says i like that

[00:42:06] about mariner too yeah i mean this whole season like mike said she's free so she's now being the person

[00:42:11] that she's meant to be she's no longer that person she used to be before where she just didn't want to

[00:42:18] grow she was like stuck in this bubble because she was so hurt losing her friend and you know her

[00:42:26] parents are start like one of starfleet's highest you know captain and admiral so she rebelled she

[00:42:32] rebelled against the authority and now we're seeing that she actually likes it like she does like starfleet

[00:42:38] i don't think she wants to be captain but she definitely wants to make a difference you can tell

[00:42:43] she's very like strong willed oh yeah definitely like outspoken and like when the episode first

[00:42:49] started i was kind of like like she's uh like just a like a tad bit

[00:42:57] not annoying that's like that's a rude word but she's she's got a lot like she doesn't hide her like

[00:43:05] how she feels about right right and then this episode i feel like was very much

[00:43:12] you could really see like how she she realizes that she was wrong and like her being so like

[00:43:18] at the beginning yeah she it she kind of came about at the end of the episode well i think she just yeah

[00:43:24] and she admitted that she she was wrong yeah and she had to accept that and just realize like

[00:43:30] like you said earlier how cassia is just they're just quirky and even cassie had said that she's like

[00:43:35] we're just different that doesn't make us bad right you know and i think with freeman

[00:43:40] and throw this in real quick she had heard this whole other dimension type other side of her had

[00:43:48] gotten stuck on starbase 80 and so she was afraid that she was on a path where she was gonna be like

[00:43:53] demoted and be that's why she was so involved trying to stop those bats um because she's kind of trying

[00:44:00] to i don't want my future to end up on the wrong path interesting because those other characters that they saw

[00:44:10] they just made slight differences in their you know decisions and it they ended up

[00:44:16] on a totally different direction which is why boimler's trying to be more freeing and you know

[00:44:21] doing crazy stupid stuff growing a beard um because that's his other his other half was just like so

[00:44:28] chill and confident and just like everything's gonna work out while he was always anxiety-rated and

[00:44:33] afraid that anything everything was just you know the other shoe was gonna drop any second

[00:44:36] so all these characters are going through their own journey the only ones we just haven't really seen

[00:44:42] much is the shacks who's the chief of security and the doctor the cat doctor tiana we haven't seen much

[00:44:50] of those two which is because this is the final season the show got canceled oh yeah and so they

[00:44:56] have many episodes are in this season 10 okay yeah so we're already halfway through and we were all

[00:45:01] bummed because everyone loves lower decks but you know um paramount but but yeah so that's why

[00:45:09] freeman was on this why she seemed so be wise because she's just overly focused on trying not to be that

[00:45:20] other freeman as she saw sort of saw she didn't get to see her that's why she was kind of confused

[00:45:27] but i think let me see here anaphasic energy we went over crazy energy ghost mariner yep mentioned that

[00:45:36] can we talk about the guy who was on he was on starbase 80 and he was like the captain and the

[00:45:46] what was his name i it took me like until like the third time when they were in the when they went to

[00:45:51] the arcade when i was like oh that is the same guy chief engineer gene jacobowski that's what you're

[00:45:59] talking about he was the chief engineer and he was playing ransom and freeman because he just wanted

[00:46:05] his place fixed but no one like the cerritos is the california class so they're just like the bottom

[00:46:12] of the barrel ships this was like the bottom of the barrel stars starbase i see and so starfleet kind

[00:46:19] of just like they're like taking advantage of their like new technology and stuff like that yeah and

[00:46:23] 80 was still using the old stuff like holding on and you know they never got upgrades they were still

[00:46:28] using wall comms like that was just starfleet just didn't treat these people right but they didn't let it

[00:46:36] tear them down i liked that bit though that he kept showing up in each place that he sent them that was

[00:46:42] funny that felt like old school like farce kind of humor like it was good it was exactly and there's

[00:46:50] joe from captain's quadrant you guys i think are going live here in a little bit so thank you for

[00:46:56] stopping by um joe this is alexa's first time ever watching star trek so this has been a very fun

[00:47:02] she's had lots of questions but hopefully doing my best i mean i hope i'm doing my best because i'm

[00:47:09] trying to remember half of this stuff um he says love the laughs good to see you guys you should see

[00:47:16] us at work and actually i mentioned so i don't know if you guys remember so i'm no longer on twitter

[00:47:23] um because that's just disappeared um and during beverly crusher day which was october 13th i decided to

[00:47:32] go over and on a visitor's book which is talking about the women of trek open a channel and this was

[00:47:37] around the time that we had our grand reopening okay so that picture of us that we took so we were all

[00:47:45] dressed in our nines trying to do our best after a very hellish renovation um but we survived

[00:47:52] and i had mentioned how the path that all these women actors had gone through all the

[00:48:00] shit that they've gone through especially back in the 90s kind of paved the way for people like me alexa

[00:48:06] and our boss because we are three women who are in charge of a hotel and we are in charge of our

[00:48:14] employees and it's stuff that they went through just to and even like our moms and all that stuff paved the

[00:48:21] way for us to to to be in these these positions and so she's one of them this was one of them in the photo so

[00:48:30] we're yeah so we are just you know women who are in command like like we see of captain freeman or

[00:48:40] even mariner and even beverly crusher she was a single mom and she was the chief medical officer and so

[00:48:45] one thing that i learned and that i loved about star trek is just how important the women characters

[00:48:50] were you definitely need to read that book by the way and probably let you borrow it it's fantastic

[00:48:54] i will so but yeah so this is just one of those things where we have fun but we take our job

[00:49:01] seriously but heck yeah heck yeah what did i say what's your key chain that you gave that you gave

[00:49:09] me like oh you're the reason i don't punch people at work see i i multiple i multitask we get through it

[00:49:17] all together i think i think that is cool about like this show from everything that you've

[00:49:22] um told me about it and how much you love the you love the character of beverly and uh the idea of like

[00:49:29] strong women and and shows like this and in space like i said like i i don't know i bet i could hack

[00:49:39] it in space but i would do my best yeah we would try and try um i think that's really really cool i think

[00:49:46] like it i think seeing this part of like your life and everything and your passion like it makes

[00:49:52] a lot of sense as to why you love it so much and also what like how you are who you are

[00:50:01] yeah and or even at work yeah at work and as a friend and and or how i handle my employees

[00:50:07] it makes sense but it's like you know you are very strong i always typically gravitated towards

[00:50:15] strong female characters like my show as a kid was x-men and xena like that was my biggest thing

[00:50:23] and so the thing that i loved about beverly crusher was because she was a single mom and it was that

[00:50:27] was me with maddie so um and i'm a department head and things like that so it's always nice to

[00:50:35] have those inspirational characters no matter what show it is and it just reflects on who we are and we

[00:50:42] can take you know take that into our lives and just be like you know like my friend said um you know

[00:50:50] do it for beverly that was her way and she's a chaplain and you know in the army so those are

[00:50:55] any character and for anybody you know and i've met so many people in the star trek community where

[00:51:01] all these characters mean something to them because they were either like one friend said that beverly was

[00:51:07] her absentee like mom right it was like the mom she never had or you know just a figure of strength

[00:51:16] and stuff so that would help them through whatever they were going through and that's just kind of and

[00:51:20] it still continues to this day well i think it's so cool it's like she's so beautiful but like you can be

[00:51:27] you can be gorgeous and strong and smart and all of those things at once and you don't have to

[00:51:34] sacrifice one for the other and you can be taken seriously if you are all of those things yeah if

[00:51:39] you're like it doesn't i mean i mean unfortunately in the in the 80s and 90s they didn't pass the

[00:51:44] bechdel test very often but that was the we're getting better it's fine it's fine but yes there's a

[00:51:51] lot of really great moments and even stuff that even the actress herself had to go through just to

[00:51:58] even direct an episode and it's one of the best episodes out there so always keep always keep on

[00:52:04] trekking but this was fun this was really fun this was really fun i was a little nervous but it was

[00:52:13] like way more fun than i told i mean i knew it was gonna be fun but this is like super fun

[00:52:19] i was just thinking i was like i don't know that your people are gonna

[00:52:23] you're like you're leaving uh no i did i wore my planet earrings see she got in i tried to get into

[00:52:31] the spirit got in the spirit but it was really fun and i i did like the show um i told you before like

[00:52:38] adult cartoons kind of are usually not my thing um but that's also not really fair because there's

[00:52:44] very few that i've even really given a chance and i like this one yeah i did i liked it lauridex is a

[00:52:50] really good entry into trek so it's prodigy something about the animated shows is just

[00:52:56] very you know the show runners were fans themselves of trek so then they really put in everything that

[00:53:05] the fans love about the show yeah into these stories hearing you talk about all the easter eggs

[00:53:10] it um it makes me want to learn more learn more so that then i can go back and catch those things

[00:53:17] because i'm sure it makes it just even that much more enjoyable oh yeah like when you when you start

[00:53:22] picking out certain things you're just like i can't believe it but it's not shoehorned in like

[00:53:27] it makes sense to the story which is what's always fun fun about it um chuck says this is this was a

[00:53:33] great live stream review cissy thanks chuck she was very nervous like this is gonna be fine

[00:53:42] but i do want to go ahead into our next segment

[00:53:50] all right guys trek quarter rating we got 17 votes which is great because sometimes i forget to put up

[00:53:57] the polls and luckily i didn't do it this time 77 gave it five cetacean ops 23 gave it four corn dogs

[00:54:05] but no one gave it three denobian lice or one to two bets what would you rate this five being the best

[00:54:13] and what are my options just pick one through five five being the best

[00:54:20] i give it a 4.3 oh okay i really like the corn dog guy so i give it i give five corn dogs

[00:54:29] four four corn dogs oh okay yeah it's five cetacean ops say five cetacean ops right there

[00:54:36] and then four corn dogs i see yeah kind of um i will rate it with the corn dogs because i like that

[00:54:43] was one of my favorite parts um yeah it was really good i liked it i i i did enjoy chad chad was a

[00:54:49] nice nice added addition and i hope he makes another appearance in a later episode well you know sadly

[00:54:55] the show got canceled so i don't know maybe he'll come back in the finale of this season yeah we're

[00:55:01] hoping it gets picked up or maybe somehow starbase 80 becomes like i don't know a comedy movie or

[00:55:08] something um chuck says four corn dogs with mustard oh i'm a ketchup person okay that's okay sorry

[00:55:15] chuck don't be mad at me i mean that's but that's your 0.3 because you said 4.3 so it's oh there

[00:55:22] you go there you go so so ketchup instead of mustard that's fine redhead alert trek talks is
