[00:00:00] I think I'm saying that we struggle all our lives to answer it. That it's the struggle that is important. That's what helps us to define our place in the universe.

[00:00:10] This is, uh, Beverly. Dr. Beverly. Dr. Dr. Beverly Crusher.

[00:00:17] Honest. Forceful. Trusting. Brilliant. Strong. And adventurous.

[00:00:26] And this is Crusher Convo.

[00:00:29] Hey guys, and welcome to Crusher Convo where we're crushing the conversation one episode at a time.

[00:00:35] Tonight we are reviewing episode four of Star Trek Lower Decks A Farewell to Farms.

[00:00:41] And with me in the guest chair you may recognize him in the Star Trek universe. It is Dr. Trek himself, Larry Nemechek. Hello, Larry. How are you?

[00:00:49] Hey, Jesse. I'm doing okay considering everything this week. I was at the Voyager premiere last night which helped brighten a little bit of spirit this week. But it's good to see you. Thanks for having me on.

    [00:01:00] How was it yesterday?

[00:01:02] It was very, I mean it was a, it was a, aside from being 455 and David Zappone and that crew, and people having seen their work over the years.

[00:01:13] It's still a crowd funded movie, so it's not like a big studio thing. So they had the, it was at the Paramount Theater where a lot of things happened, have happened over the years.

[00:01:23] But it was still a very, people, the film was great. People had a good time. It was, it was a fan backers and a crew, a screen for all the crew, people who sat down on camera for the thing.

[00:01:33] And then a lot of people who just worked on the show who weren't, so it was what it was. But it wasn't like this big lavish with a lot of food and drink. It was, it was kind of a, you could tell they were on a budget, but that did not take away from everybody seeing each other and having a good time. And I had a lot of little, you know, many reunions and grab people and said, you'll be a guest on, you'll be a guest on Portal 47. You'll be a guest on the Tuck Files, right?

    [00:02:24] Yeah.

[00:02:26] You know, and, and all. But no, I mean, everybody was, it was in my, my, not to make this about the thing, but I was about halfway through and I thought, wow, this is a lot edgier documentary than the DS9, what we left behind was.

[00:02:40] And then I thought, well, Voyager, DS9 was an edgier show than Voyager was. This was a brighter, happier documentary. And it's still, they still went to, I hate to say, controversial places. They didn't, nothing was sugarcoated.

[00:02:54] You know, but they got in, honestly, it was honestly, but it's been 20 and 30 years. And a lot of people were open to talk about, you know, things in some drama, like the Kate and Jerry situation. Drama has been resolved and they, you know, they've gotten over it and moved past, which makes it anyway.

[00:03:09] But there were a lot of, they didn't leave a lot of stones unturned, like Ron Moore's little brief. So anyway, so I think people are going to enjoy it.

[00:03:17] Yeah, I'm excited. And actually we already have someone in the chat. It is Chuck. Hello, Chuck. How are you doing? He's saying hello. Larry is great to talk to at STLB. Yes, he is.

    [00:03:30] Oh, good.

[00:03:33] We met when we were very, it was a Bally's and I was like this close to your table as I was waiting in line for Jonathan Frakes. And I'm all like, hi.

[00:03:44] And you're like, here's a sticker. And I'm like, okay. And that's how it all began.

[00:03:50] Okay. How did you, did I say something to you? That was your first one, right?

[00:03:54] It was my first one. It was 2022. And I, I recognized you because I had just jumped into Star Trek and I had said, I was like, oh, I know who you were. I was like, I'm new to the, to the franchise. And you're like, awesome. And you're like, here's a sticker. And you started talking to me about different things as, and then we started moving along as the line was going. I was like, see you later. But it was like, I was touching your table.

[00:04:18] I was touching your table.

[00:04:19] I know it was that close.

[00:04:21] My speech, that was 2022, right? Yeah. My speech over and over again to everybody, to everybody who was, and there were a lot of first time people there, which was exciting and encouraging.

[00:04:32] And I, and the impact of the new shows was finally starting to roll in.

[00:04:36] And I think of all the new series, no matter what was your favorite or not favorite, just that there were so many and the animated shows and the voice actors with the, you know, prodigy and Lord, but whoever it was, there were so many new people.

[00:04:47] And I was always say, that's awesome. This is great. But just please think this is going to, this is not the real STLP.

[00:04:55] Like, please come back when you can come back to the Rio and it'll be the real SD and, and people like enjoy this year.

[00:05:02] I'm not telling you not doing, I'm not trying to gatekeep about the hotel site, but, and the con of experience, but please come back one or two years from now.

[00:05:10] And, and, and, and I saw all those people the next year and I go, well, do you get it? And they were like, yeah, I get it.

[00:05:16] Yeah. I think that's what I said to you when I saw you in 2023. I was like, now, now I know why you told me to come back much bigger space.

[00:05:24] It works perfectly. But we are here to talk about episode four of Lower Decks.

[00:05:31] Super excited. I'm not a huge Klingon fan, but I do enjoy Lower Decks Klingons.

[00:05:38] So I'm going to go and show a clip, just a quick clip of the episode. So here it is.

[00:05:44] Your presence is a burden. Leave now.

    [00:05:47] No can do.

[00:05:47] See, I just heard you lost your captaincy and I'm going to help you get it back.

    [00:05:51] You make this?

[00:05:53] Yeah. Our family has spent generations perfecting the bloodiness.

[00:05:56] Ooh. Who's this tall drink of water? Water. You guys have water, right?

    [00:06:00] Yes, we have water.

[00:06:01] I just love this show.

[00:06:04] No one has water but the Ocampa, apparently.

[00:06:07] Apparently so. I mean, this show makes me like the Klingons. That's how great it is.

[00:06:12] Like, I just, they have magic. Mike has magic in his show.

[00:06:19] But what was your first impression with it? I mean, there was a lot going on.

[00:06:24] It was, you know, two between the Dr. Migly Moo and then the Klingon stuff.

[00:06:28] But what's your first impression?

[00:06:30] So between, and I hate to say this, between everybody being emotional, upset, and invested about this being the fifth season and the last season and all that,

[00:06:41] it feels like we've gone from fresh Trek every week to these Trek islands.

[00:06:47] And I feel like Lord X, this season of Lord X, isn't getting as much attention as it normally would.

[00:06:53] And maybe that's the distraction of the campaign and the election this year.

[00:06:58] Maybe that's the distraction of a lot of things going on.

[00:07:01] But I feel like, I feel like people had to like get, remember to get settled in with Star Trek again.

[00:07:07] And unfairly as it is, the two animated series don't get just the normal numbers, I think.

[00:07:13] Viewers and all of that.

[00:07:14] And maybe that translates to like, we're here.

    [00:07:17] You're here. I'm here.

    [00:07:19] Crusher Convo's here.

[00:07:21] Second Opinion's doing, you know, my things.

[00:07:23] But, and so many more.

[00:07:24] But I still feel like overall the attention.

[00:07:27] So anyway, it's like people I hope are watching after four seasons, four episodes in or whatever.

[00:07:33] But this, this, I enjoyed it.

[00:07:36] And one of the, this is so distinctive and it's fifth season and there's so many things just happening.

[00:07:41] And I love that it was a split.

[00:07:45] I love that this was a canon show in a lot of ways.

[00:07:48] Both, you know, both, oh, farming Klingons.

[00:07:52] The part of Klingons that you didn't know you needed to know about, but it's awesome.

[00:07:57] And then the other was, yeah, Migly Moe and his, his culture and his people finally get a, finally get a name, much less a backstory.

    [00:08:04] That's true.

    [00:08:05] I have a question though.

[00:08:05] What did you think of the intro?

[00:08:07] I was going to say, I was like, because I knew the title was called A Farewell to Farms.

    [00:08:12] And I went, okay, it's a take.

[00:08:14] It's going to be something with farming, but is it really going to resemble anything of A Farewell to Arms?

[00:08:19] A Hemingway's novel, A Farewell to Arms, which I read the cliff notes.

    [00:08:23] I've never read, I'll say.

[00:08:24] But I read the cliff notes enough to know that this has nothing to do with the plot of A Farewell to Arms.

[00:08:30] It was purely for the pun factor.

    [00:08:32] Okay.

    [00:08:34] And yeah.

[00:08:35] And then it starts off and I'm like, okay.

[00:08:38] And then it has that soft.

[00:08:41] I keep thinking, what movie is it that are they parodying?

    [00:08:44] Insurrection.

    [00:08:46] Huh?

[00:08:47] I thought it was Insurrection.

[00:08:48] I was thinking, I was, I went with Farewell to Arms and I was like, what were the Farewell to Arms movies intros like?

[00:08:53] And then I went, well, just in general.

[00:08:55] And then I went, oh, it's like the soft opening of Insurrection.

[00:08:58] I keep wanting a kid to poke out of a haystack or something.

    [00:09:02] Exactly.

    [00:09:03] Exactly.

[00:09:03] I'm not a huge fan of Insurrection, but I was all like, I think I know where they're going.

[00:09:08] And again, I'm very proud of myself that I got that Easter egg.

[00:09:12] Well, I still haven't, until I get to ask Mike or ask the writer, who's a new writer, a new producer this year and writer.

[00:09:20] But what I got into doing with all the shows the last couple of years was trying to slide into their, if I didn't know them already, slide in their DMs on Instagram.

[00:09:28] And a lot of them are like, oh, I'm so excited.

[00:09:30] This is my first, you know, or they've done some other work, but it's their first truck.

[00:09:34] And maybe they're a secret truckie and they took a pay cut to come over and write this, you know, something what makes them excited to go truck fam.

    [00:09:42] I have a truck cred.

    [00:09:43] I'm so excited.

[00:09:44] And sometimes you can get little nuggets from them before they do a formal interview or before they're under the horse collar of the studio promotion machine doing something with them.

[00:09:53] And I hadn't had that chance yet.

[00:09:54] Again, everything feels a little underplayed this year with this season and all that.

[00:09:58] So I'm curious to know how many, because there's a lot of, I feel like there's several homages here.

[00:10:04] Maybe it's even some of the Klingon, there's so many Klingon words that are both old and maybe new.

[00:10:11] Anyway, I just love finding that kind of, that's your Easter eggs.

[00:10:14] There's your, there's your Nima check it out.

[00:10:15] But no, I, I, I was, I was watching it at work at first and then I was all like, wait, this isn't the normal intro.

    [00:10:22] And it's all soft.

    [00:10:23] Like you said, soft.

[00:10:24] It's showing the farm and era.

[00:10:25] I was like, is this based on insurrection?

[00:10:27] So now Chuck, he said that he didn't go to Bally's.

[00:10:33] He went to the Rio in 2023.

[00:10:35] He had to cancel this year because he's in the middle of cancer treatments right now.

    [00:10:39] And yes.

[00:10:40] I hope it's going well for you, Chuck.

    [00:10:41] Yes.

    [00:10:42] Yes, Chuck.

    [00:10:44] Absolutely adore you.

[00:10:45] You're all over the place.

[00:10:46] And thank you for the support that you give to all of these podcasts.

[00:10:50] And then we have here, hello.

[00:10:52] It says the show is wonderfully silly.

[00:10:54] Makes all the jokes I'd make with friends about the Star Trek franchise.

    [00:10:59] Pretty much.

    [00:11:00] Yeah.

[00:11:01] People are so worried about Laura Dex being a comedy Star Trek, but it's basically after, you know, 10, 12, 15 years of, of, you know, Facebook memes and everything else.

    [00:11:11] Yes.

[00:11:12] It's like the jokes you, it's in-house jokes, not someone from the outside making jokes.

    [00:11:18] Exactly.

    [00:11:19] But it works.

[00:11:20] Like he does it so well that it works within the show where it's like, this is canon, you know.

[00:11:26] Because it comes from the heart and it comes from the, it's, they're not, it's not rando jokes.

    [00:11:31] It's the characters.

[00:11:32] It's the story and the characters.

[00:11:34] And that's where the humor comes from.

[00:11:36] And the Star Trek universe at large.

[00:11:37] And the other thing they do, and I, it, like second or third season when I went, holy, it's like, he's got this list of the 47 things that fandom has argued about for 40 or 50 years.

[00:11:51] And they attack it in the show.

    [00:11:53] It's so meta.

    [00:11:54] Yeah.

[00:11:54] Is Starfleet military or scientific?

[00:11:57] And, you know, why do we have so many uniforms?

    [00:11:59] That's silly.

[00:12:00] And just so much stuff and things about, you know, and now, you know, and even they don't even do it on the nose.

[00:12:05] Like there's things about Klingons in here that are like just a little, if you stop and you go, oh, okay.

[00:12:11] He's, he's, you know, they're making, one of the characters will flip off something, you know, Boimler half the time.

[00:12:17] And it's just like, oh yeah, he's making fun of that thing people talk about.

[00:12:21] But, and they don't give you an answer, but it's like, don't worry.

    [00:12:25] We know.

    [00:12:25] So, yeah.

    [00:12:27] Yeah.

    [00:12:27] Well, they did that.

[00:12:28] Terry did that in season three of Picard because he knew it was going to be brought up.

[00:12:32] It was the, oh, what was one of the jokes?

[00:12:37] Picard asks Beverly Jack his accent.

[00:12:41] And she saw like, you know, he went to school in London and it must be in his DNA because everyone was like, how does he have an accent?

    [00:12:47] He already knew.

[00:12:49] They're going to say something.

    [00:12:50] Oh yeah.

    [00:12:51] Right in the show.

[00:12:52] Well, when they, when they rebuild the D bridge and Picard, is it Picard or Reichardt?

[00:12:57] Oh, I missed the carpet.

    [00:12:59] Picard.

    [00:13:00] Yep.

    [00:13:01] Exactly.

    [00:13:02] They're so good.

    [00:13:03] Cause they're fans.

[00:13:04] And I even mentioned that to Mike when I had his interview, I was like, you guys, like you and Aaron and the brothers and all that stuff.

[00:13:09] You guys know this franchise so well, cause you're fans and that's what makes it so special.

[00:13:15] You're bringing everything that we love into this and doing it in such a way that just is so enjoyable.

    [00:13:21] Yeah.

    [00:13:22] Yes.

    [00:13:23] Yeah.

    [00:13:23] But it's weird.

[00:13:24] It's almost, I brought this up with somebody one time about, is it because in the old days, it was just like writers would come in.

[00:13:30] They'd have to learn Star Trek.

[00:13:31] And then you had that quiet revolution when they, when TNG hired, well, they had them at first and then Dorothy and David like left Next Generation.

[00:13:39] And then you had people learning.

[00:13:40] But, um, when like Ron Moore was like the quiet fan boy who got hired and then Rene Shaviria and Ira had been, you know, and then eventually until you finally got even on Enterprise, Manny Cotto and, um, and, and, and, and, uh, Mike Sussman and them.

[00:13:57] Like the fans got the keys to things eventually and made cool shows.

[00:14:02] But it's almost like I said one time, it's like, it's almost like an equal opportunity thing where you're hiring, you know, like you're a producer and you're hiring for showrunners and hiring for writers or even like art people and visual effects people.

[00:14:15] And it's like, you know, must know Star Trek a little bit.

[00:14:17] It's like, I'm sorry, this is, this is prejudice.

    [00:14:20] You have to apply.

[00:14:21] I, everyone who applies has to be considered.

[00:14:23] It's like, is having Star Trek knowledge considered like, you know, anti open hiring?

    [00:14:28] Yeah.

[00:14:29] Because I wish everybody hired.

    [00:14:30] I mean, yeah.

    [00:14:30] I agree with that.

    [00:14:31] I know me too.

[00:14:33] Now it's funny that you mentioned about the Klingons and things like that.

[00:14:37] So I had actually grabbed a couple of what they were saying, the translation.

[00:14:42] Hopefully I translated it right.

[00:14:45] Now, of course we always, we know Chudich and that means second, which is your second, you know, whoever.

[00:14:50] So, and my little tagline under my name, it says Larry's Chudich.

[00:14:54] So I'm your second today.

    [00:14:56] You can be my.

[00:14:59] This one, I am not even going to try to pronounce.

[00:15:02] It was like, or something, which means losers.

    [00:15:07] Yeah.

    [00:15:08] Losers.

[00:15:11] Chudich is begin the torture.

[00:15:15] That's probably from the Ascension Chamber.

[00:15:17] And the first time they had pain sticks was Worf doing his Ascension Chamber thing.

[00:15:22] Second season on next year.

[00:15:24] Chud, which I forgot to add that on there, which is begin the torture.

[00:15:27] And that was when they were about to do the pain sticks.

[00:15:29] And then Kwa is full.

[00:15:31] And then the last one, let me see if I could see it here.

    [00:15:35] Chutla.

[00:15:35] Chut heat is Boulder Dash.

[00:15:38] Well, see, you got these.

    [00:15:40] Yeah.

[00:15:41] You, you got these probably lots of options for an English translation, but that was.

[00:15:47] I mean, it makes sense, you know, it's, it's nonsense, you know, but it was Boulder Dash.

    [00:15:51] I was like, that's been a while.

[00:15:52] My parents used to have that, that trivia game or Boulder Dash game.

    [00:15:56] I was a kid.

[00:15:58] That was, that was my thing.

[00:16:00] Licensing should be all over the Klingon version of Boulder Dash now.

[00:16:03] They've got the name right now.

    [00:16:04] Right.

    [00:16:05] They do.

    [00:16:05] They're missing, missing out.

    [00:16:07] Yeah.

[00:16:08] So Joah says the, the episode was very wholesome, Klingon wholesome.

[00:16:13] So it was about family and was very stabby.

    [00:16:15] I loved Boimler.

[00:16:17] I mean, it has to be stabby if it's Klingon, but I love Boimler.

[00:16:21] He's just being so different.

[00:16:23] And he's all like, this is Klingon as hell.

[00:16:24] Like it was, he was so enjoyable.

[00:16:27] I was having, it was Klingon tourism.

[00:16:29] It was like, not Klingons as tourists, but people being a tourist on Klingon.

[00:16:34] He was like, he was so excited.

[00:16:36] It was like, if you went to, let's say, I don't know, some kind of a museum or even

[00:16:42] like, let's say Paramount studios.

    [00:16:44] Right.

[00:16:44] And you're like, this is where they taped this, you know?

[00:16:46] And it's like, this is awesome.

    [00:16:47] That was Boimler.

[00:16:49] Well, my favorite line in the whole thing was, so they're in the warrior's pit, the bar,

    [00:16:54] right?

[00:16:54] The Klingon bar with the, with the thrash Klingon acid punk, which was a thing.

[00:16:59] And he said like two or three years ago.

    [00:17:01] Yeah.

[00:17:01] Two or three seasons ago.

[00:17:03] And I'm like, oh, okay.

[00:17:04] It's the Klingon acid punk and the thrash loot.

[00:17:07] Did you notice that was a Vulcan loot, but it had been like thrashified?

    [00:17:11] No, I didn't.

[00:17:13] She has the guy waving at her and she's like, oh yeah, yeah.

    [00:17:17] His, his quasi girl.

[00:17:18] But, um, oh, there's a line where he says, Boimler's like being all Klingon tourists and he's talking

[00:17:24] to Mar and he, and he says, wow, the warrior's pit.

[00:17:27] This is like saying to be here.

[00:17:29] Is this the one where Martok slew the 12?

[00:17:32] He's like, no, that was the warrior's pit in the Ketha Lowlands.

    [00:17:36] It's a chain.

    [00:17:37] Yeah.

    [00:17:38] It's a franchise.

[00:17:41] I mean, it was, and I think I even put, and his mustache.

[00:17:45] Quarks is the only franchise place there's Klingon.

[00:17:47] Which, which see, there it is.

[00:17:49] Again, you get back to it's the whole thing is tweaking the fact that the whole, you know,

[00:17:54] like everybody isn't warriors and you had that already.

[00:17:58] You know, we've seen Klingon clerics and Klingon, um, chefs and Klingon lawyers, you know, it's

[00:18:04] like, they're not all work, but they all kind of go.

[00:18:07] And his brother is like a bro.

[00:18:09] He's like the, the guy that just wants to sit home and drink and play games and wrestle

    [00:18:14] Targ.

[00:18:15] Play with, but he has, yeah.

[00:18:18] He didn't want to do the pain sticks at all.

    [00:18:20] Yeah.

[00:18:21] He's just a big goof, you know, but, but it's, I love how it wasn't, but, but Mar has

[00:18:27] his foot in both worlds.

[00:18:28] He's like, I really want to get out there, but of course I can do it.

[00:18:31] It's like Picard could go back and do wine.

[00:18:33] See, that was the other thing.

[00:18:34] It was kind of, it was almost like a Klingon version of family where he's stuck at home

[00:18:39] or the beginning of Picard where he's back home literally in the vineyards and other things.

    [00:18:44] Yeah.

[00:18:45] And, but I really want to be out there, but for right now I'm here.

    [00:18:49] Yeah.

[00:18:49] It's a good parallel between the two.

[00:18:51] I think with all in that regard, it was, it was funny because at first it was like,

[00:18:57] why is Mariner and Boiler here?

    [00:18:58] What's going on?

[00:18:59] But then later on we find out that they were actually looking into the dimensional rifts

    [00:19:05] that were happening.

[00:19:07] And apparently there's more of them and it might be man-made.

    [00:19:11] Someone's making them.

[00:19:12] And so I like that because now they're kind of telling this one story that's going to

[00:19:16] be a season long, like we had last year with Nicholas Locarno.

    [00:19:21] So.

[00:19:21] And even the year before with.

    [00:19:24] And the year before.

[00:19:26] Which I, I, yeah, I noticed that I said this last week on second opinion that, that Mike

[00:19:32] said, Mike McMahon said early on, there will be a thread, but it won't be like, like every

[00:19:37] teaser last year was whose culture ship is going to be encountered and done away with

[00:19:42] this, this episode, you know, and you went through everybody.

    [00:19:45] Federation, non-federation, you know.

[00:19:48] And, but he said, we'll have that, but it won't be this omnipresent thing.

[00:19:52] And if you go back and look, and it was, it was so unformulaic that I think people forgot

[00:19:59] to remember it was there.

[00:20:00] And I was trying to say, okay, two of the three episodes have some kind of a quantum

[00:20:06] vortex other universe thing, adjacent universe.

[00:20:10] And then, so this one, but he, so each time instead of being like, and here's the plot

[00:20:15] of the, here's the season arcs scene.

    [00:20:17] Right.

[00:20:17] Each one has been a little, so this one, it's totally like you get to the whole story, both

    [00:20:21] arc, both halves.

[00:20:23] And at the very end, it's kind of like, oh yeah.

[00:20:25] And here's the clue about the, they don't say it, but for the audience, it's like, oh

[00:20:29] yeah, well, what we were really doing the whole time was chasing these clues about this

    [00:20:32] quantum vortex.

    [00:20:34] And here's what I learned.

[00:20:34] And it's like, that's, that's the clue for the season.

[00:20:37] It doesn't have to be this big.

    [00:20:40] Yeah.

[00:20:40] And of course the other season long arc that's happening is Boimler's beard is growing.

[00:20:48] Dex says, well, the spirit is a growing thing.

[00:20:51] And Joaz says, Boimler's beard is paint by numbers because it is growing oddly, but it

[00:20:58] is okay to have a season arc.

[00:21:01] That's not an epic season arc.

[00:21:03] I would say that's more character arc, but yeah.

    [00:21:05] Yes.

[00:21:06] Now with the other half, the Dr. Migly Moo stuff that, like you said, we didn't really

[00:21:13] know about his, his species and we're learning more.

    [00:21:15] And I guess they're, they're connoisseurs of food.

[00:21:20] But he of course is now, you, you see that he went off that path to become a counselor,

    [00:21:29] a therapist.

[00:21:29] So in the finest Star Trek tradition of the native, who is the outcast a little bit and

    [00:21:35] leaves their culture.

[00:21:36] And, you know, like Worf, like Odo, like, I mean, go down the list of the ones who were

[00:21:42] a little bit of an outcast who has to, they're trying to find acceptance from their home people.

    [00:21:48] Yeah.

[00:21:49] And that, and it weighs on them a little bit.

[00:21:51] And Spock even with his own father for so long, you know?

    [00:21:54] Yeah, exactly.

    [00:21:55] You weren't a scientist.

[00:21:56] Well, same with Picard and his family.

    [00:21:59] He wasn't a vineyard.

    [00:22:01] Yeah.

[00:22:02] You know, so, so yeah, it was very nice to see a little bit of a backstory for, for the

    [00:22:08] doctor.

[00:22:10] Since after four and a half years, it was like, you got, here's the, here's the name of a

[00:22:14] species and about their planet and about their culture.

[00:22:17] And here's the little phrases they use and, and, and, you know, it's like bang all at

    [00:22:20] once.

[00:22:21] I did like though, when, um, 10 D and Rutherford were helping.

[00:22:27] And at first he's doing a replicated dish and they're like, oh my gosh, it's disgusting.

[00:22:30] He realized he did something wrong.

[00:22:32] So they're designing to make this hog fish thing and she's dicing up and he's like, oh,

[00:22:36] you have amazing dice skills.

[00:22:37] She's like assassins training, which makes total.

    [00:22:41] Which is true.

    [00:22:42] Yeah.

    [00:22:43] It's absolutely true.

[00:22:44] The best thing was when she brought out the little, what is it?

[00:22:46] A squeeze bag, icing bag.

[00:22:48] And the icing bag has the star fleet Delta.

    [00:22:51] Oh, for the manure.

    [00:22:53] Yes.

    [00:22:54] Of course.

[00:22:55] I was like, of course it's got a Delta on.

[00:22:57] I get annoyed when that strange new worlds and discovery, but when it's lower decks,

    [00:23:02] it's like, of course it's fine.

    [00:23:04] Yeah.

[00:23:05] They have Delta's in the bottom of their boots.

[00:23:07] Do you think we're going to have more Freeman in?

[00:23:10] Cause we've only seen little bits of here and there, the captain, and she was a little

[00:23:14] bit more involved, but the whole, the whole, we'll say like ransom had the whole,

[00:23:17] you've, there's been no shacks and no to Anna so far.

[00:23:21] I mean like maybe a line, but like all of my ransom had the little bit and there'd been

    [00:23:26] no Freeman.

    [00:23:27] I'll see.

[00:23:27] She, she, you hear her doing captain's logs and maybe she's like standing there welcoming

    [00:23:32] somebody.

    [00:23:33] Yeah.

[00:23:33] This is the most that Freeman had been part of.

[00:23:35] And even then it's not much.

    [00:23:37] No.

    [00:23:38] I mean, she's defending him.

    [00:23:40] Right.

[00:23:40] Cause at first she's all like, can you please take over?

[00:23:42] Or because I might do something on Starfleet.

[00:23:46] Cause she was getting very annoyed by these, by these two.

[00:23:50] But yeah, I mean, it was funny cause I, and it's a typical trope where it's like, there's

[00:23:55] these two rude people and stuff like that.

[00:23:57] And turns out they had a secret.

[00:23:59] And then of course they're found out.

[00:24:02] And the one person that could help them, he was, what did he say?

    [00:24:05] He's a chef of the mind.

[00:24:06] Was that what he said?

    [00:24:07] Yeah.

[00:24:08] When he was talking about being a therapist or something.

[00:24:10] And he had mentioned that before.

[00:24:12] Cause they were very surprised that he, that he left the cooking.

    [00:24:16] I don't know.

    [00:24:17] Track food track.

    [00:24:20] It's like Klingons that aren't warriors.

    [00:24:22] It's like Vulcans that aren't scientists.

[00:24:24] It's like Ferengis who aren't in, you know, in the business.

    [00:24:28] Yeah.

    [00:24:29] Yeah.

[00:24:31] So, I mean, it, it was a good little backstory.

[00:24:34] I mean, cause like, I think the biggest thing that the doctor even had before was with

[00:24:38] Tendi and he had to fight whatever that was for, uh, the Orions.

    [00:24:46] Yeah.

[00:24:47] But he's usually just been a, and that was this, that was the season, wasn't it?

    [00:24:52] Or was that last?

    [00:24:53] Last season.

    [00:24:54] They're blurring a little bit.

[00:24:55] I've only watched through one.

    [00:24:56] No, but I mean, it's, it's, um.

    [00:24:58] Um, yeah.

[00:25:00] Ever since that, he's always been like the, the butt of jokes or the joke scene.

[00:25:05] Starting with the first time you saw him, when it was like, she's like, I'm, you know,

[00:25:09] Freeman says, I want you to go see Dr.

    [00:25:10] Miglymo.

[00:25:11] And she's like, no, no, not the food metaphors.

[00:25:14] And it was the joke at the beginning.

[00:25:15] And it's like, it's all grown from, but they didn't, that it barely, like every once in

[00:25:21] a while, if he had three lines in a show, one of them would have a food metaphor in it.

[00:25:24] It could be totally like not part of the, the three main plots of the, of the episode,

    [00:25:29] but it was there.

[00:25:30] But I mean, this is really the first time somebody said, okay, finally.

[00:25:33] And it's almost like, I think by the time they got to fourth season, Mike is like, you

[00:25:38] know, if there's stuff we really want to do, we ought to like pack it in because we never

[00:25:42] know when they're going to cancel us.

[00:25:43] And I, I know they didn't know they were canceled when they wrote this.

    [00:25:47] Yeah.

    [00:25:47] It's still too early.

[00:25:49] But I think, I think there's a lot of little bits and pieces happening where, and some of

[00:25:53] these things that were set up like the, like Ma'ar is one of the, is the Wedge Douche.

[00:25:59] That's out of Wedge Douche originally.

[00:26:01] They're getting, you know, Talin got followed up and made a part of the crew and somebody

[00:26:05] along the way said, we're going to get back to the Klingons of Wedge Douche too.

[00:26:08] Cause that was too interesting.

[00:26:09] And then they did, they did last year.

    [00:26:12] So.

    [00:26:12] We didn't have Talin.

    [00:26:13] Huh?

    [00:26:14] We didn't have Talin.

[00:26:16] Talin was like, wasn't she like just in the background?

    [00:26:19] Watching?

    [00:26:20] Probably.

[00:26:21] Talin was not, Talin was not part of it.

    [00:26:23] Talin was not involved.

    [00:26:24] No.

[00:26:25] I mean, her, her episode was last week.

[00:26:27] That was her big, her big episode, which I loved.

[00:26:30] I loved her in last week's episode.

[00:26:32] And the, and the bit about repairing the, and, and the opener was the first one.

    [00:26:36] Oh, with the ship.

    [00:26:37] Yeah.

[00:26:37] I think that was Shades of Green.

[00:26:39] So the second issue on that when it was premiering.

[00:26:43] Now Chuck says more legacy characters are ahead according to Mike McMahon.

    [00:26:47] Except for Beverly Crusher.

[00:26:49] Unfortunately, unfortunately Mike was like, I wanted to write a Rin, but I couldn't because

[00:26:55] she was doing season three.

[00:26:57] And he's like, it's kind of hard for do a comedy while they're doing this.

[00:27:01] And he's like, and now I didn't get the chance.

[00:27:03] And I was like, heartbroken, shattered in a million pieces.

    [00:27:06] And I was like, I understand.

[00:27:08] But it would have been lovely.

    [00:27:10] We did get Wesley.

[00:27:12] So I, you know, yay.

[00:27:15] But I'm excited about what other legacy characters though that are going to be.

[00:27:18] But just remember the timeframe of, the timeframe of, of Prodigy and Lower Decks.

[00:27:23] And they're like two, three years apart.

    [00:27:25] Right.

[00:27:25] Lower Decks is a little earlier and Prodigy is two or three years later.

[00:27:28] But both of them are like eight and 10 years ahead of what you just saw in Picard season

    [00:27:34] three.

[00:27:34] So anything right now, Beverly would be out being a phantom, you know?

    [00:27:39] Yeah.

[00:27:40] Well, I was talking, cause I'm big on dates and stuff like that.

[00:27:43] And actually I believe it was Tony from Trek movie.

[00:27:47] He believes this is around 2382 because they had mentioned Naomi being 10 years old.

    [00:27:55] Oh yeah.

    [00:27:56] Yeah.

[00:27:56] These are very specifically slotted in.

    [00:27:58] Yeah.

    [00:27:58] Yeah.

[00:27:58] And so I was all like, oh, so that means Jack's a baby and she's hiding right now.

[00:28:04] Cause then in Prodigy it was 2385.

    [00:28:08] He's a toddler.

[00:28:08] The star dates in Freeman's captain's logs and things are right in line with the old TNG

[00:28:14] forward dating where it's a thousand unit years and they're, they're going right along

    [00:28:19] with.

    [00:28:20] And I love it.

[00:28:21] I eat that stuff up.

    [00:28:22] I love it.

    [00:28:23] Along with that.

    [00:28:25] And just the universe.

[00:28:27] I mean, it's just, of course they should use it.

    [00:28:29] They're telling the story.

    [00:28:30] Yeah, exactly.

[00:28:31] Now here's Ms. Powell family.

    [00:28:33] Hello.

[00:28:34] She says, my name has always seemed to me to be an homage to McMahon.

    [00:28:41] Oh, that's a good question.

    [00:28:42] That's a good one.

[00:28:44] She, oh, she's very good.

    [00:28:45] I love her.

[00:28:46] Well, since Beckett Mariner is his sister, then, you know.

    [00:28:49] Yeah.

    [00:28:50] He's getting the.

    [00:28:50] That makes sense.

    [00:28:52] And here's Patrick.

[00:28:53] Prodigy is technically not canon anymore-ish, right?

    [00:28:58] No.

    [00:28:59] No.

    [00:28:59] It's canon.

    [00:29:00] Yeah.

    [00:29:00] It aired.

[00:29:01] Well, I mean, but they go out of their way to have, I mean, Mike, I mean, Aaron, I have

    [00:29:06] pictures.

[00:29:07] Eventually we'll get into this, but he was showing me when I finally got to go in, he was showing

[00:29:12] me how they had their big, they took a page from stellar cartography and blew it up and

[00:29:18] they were plotting where they, roughly where they were.

[00:29:20] Everything is near the beta, everything of in the Delta Quadrant, like they had Cations,

[00:29:26] but they also, like when they had the Kazon, it's like, well, how'd they have a Kazon?

[00:29:30] Kazon's around the far end.

[00:29:31] Well, by then they're bopping around, I guess.

    [00:29:34] Right.

[00:29:34] But he said, no, here's where we had things plotted.

[00:29:36] And then they came back, they were, then the show comes back down to the, I mean, neutral

[00:29:40] zone and, but he said, here's where, and one time they took a, they took a crazy dip way

[00:29:44] over into the Gamma Quadrant and came back.

[00:29:47] And he said, no, no, no.

[00:29:48] We were very physically following everything.

[00:29:50] And if we halfway mentioned a relative distance or we had to keep something roughly in mind,

    [00:29:55] we did.

    [00:29:57] So yeah.

    [00:29:58] Oh, awesome.

[00:29:59] I think I remember seeing them doing that.

[00:30:01] Now, the one thing though, that as Mariner and Boimler is helping Ma and Maylor, they

[00:30:09] do the pain stick stuff.

    [00:30:11] They're doing everything.

[00:30:12] It was Boimler that talks to him.

[00:30:15] It was like, listen, you don't have to do it this way.

[00:30:18] Like if it's not your path, just do a dip, you know?

[00:30:21] And he mentioned about, you know, he was on the coolest ship.

[00:30:24] That was the Titan, right?

[00:30:25] When it was anyone Riker's ship.

[00:30:27] And then he went back to Salido's.

[00:30:29] Is that what he was talking about?

    [00:30:30] Yeah.

[00:30:30] I mean, he loved Riker and then he was like, but no, that wasn't my ship that I needed to

    [00:30:36] go back home.

    [00:30:37] Right.

[00:30:38] And it was like, you make your own path in this sense.

[00:30:41] And it was with his brother.

    [00:30:42] Right.

[00:30:42] And of course there was a killing, which I was, I don't know why I was surprised.

[00:30:46] I was like, oh, he actually killed the guy.

    [00:30:48] Yeah.

    [00:30:48] All right.

    [00:30:49] You know.

[00:30:50] But then he had killed his, A, it was Klingons.

[00:30:53] I mean, Mariner and Boimler were there.

[00:30:55] And he had already killed his brother, which was the whole point of him like, ah, you killed

    [00:30:59] my brother.

[00:31:00] And so now I'm not.

    [00:31:01] Yeah.

[00:31:01] And he didn't like hate him.

[00:31:03] It's just like, you think I'm going to cut you some slack?

[00:31:05] You killed my, it was like a very Klingon casual death kind of level, you know?

    [00:31:10] Yes.

    [00:31:11] Yeah.

[00:31:11] Which I mean, you know, I mean, but the, he got, but, uh, may, I'm probably saying it

[00:31:16] wrong, but he got stabbed first and he just pulled it out and then he stabbed him.

    [00:31:19] I was like, he's cool.

    [00:31:20] He's like, he's like Martok.

    [00:31:22] I am a Martok fan.

    [00:31:24] Yeah.

[00:31:25] Well, Martok got the shout out here too.

[00:31:27] But you remember, I mean, Klingons have double everything supposedly.

[00:31:31] So if there was like a stomach wall, which is what, when he got stabbed and didn't die,

[00:31:35] I'm like, okay, now if anything else happens, it's got to be really, really, really dead.

[00:31:39] And that's what they did.

[00:31:40] He had to like get.

    [00:31:41] That's what they did.

    [00:31:42] Yeah.

[00:31:42] He was really, really, really stabbed and dead.

    [00:31:46] Exactly.

    [00:31:47] With his purple blood.

    [00:31:48] Oxidizing purple blood.

[00:31:49] Chuck says, Aaron Wolke is so great to talk to.

    [00:31:52] He really is.

    [00:31:53] Mm-hmm.

    [00:31:54] He's just, he's a fan.

[00:31:56] But I mean, I was just talking to him about the crushers and it was just like all this information

[00:32:00] and I was just eating it up, you know?

[00:32:03] Well, the other thing you can talk, you can tell, oh, Aaron's in the, there's a little

[00:32:07] bit at the end when they're talking about the Janeway impact.

[00:32:12] There's, Aaron is on for a minute talking about using Janeway in Prodigy.

[00:32:17] And Terry is on talking about the crushers, you know, in, in Picard.

    [00:32:25] Wait, wait.

    [00:32:26] That's not right.

    [00:32:27] Voyager.

    [00:32:27] What am I?

[00:32:28] Oh, using seven and even, and even, yeah, using seven in Picard and even.

    [00:32:32] Right.

[00:32:32] Tovok there at the end.

    [00:32:34] Yeah.

[00:32:34] Oh, at the very end.

    [00:32:36] Yeah.

    [00:32:36] Yeah.

[00:32:37] Now, Joe, this, this question's for you.

[00:32:39] Who has more double organs?

[00:32:41] Klingons, Time Lords, or Space Marines?

    [00:32:44] Definitely not Time Lords.

    [00:32:45] He has two hearts.

    [00:32:46] Okay.

    [00:32:47] Yeah.

    [00:32:48] Look, I'm not the.

[00:32:48] Don't say anything about everything else.

[00:32:50] I'm not the, I'm not the who.

[00:32:51] I know a little bit of who, but I'm not the who person.

[00:32:54] I need to get my friend James Kerwin in on this one, if that's a.

    [00:32:56] But yeah, I think that's true.

    [00:32:58] Yeah.

    [00:32:58] Klingons have double everything.

    [00:32:59] Yeah, only two hearts.

    [00:33:00] Klingons have double everything.

[00:33:00] Which has been blown to comic extremes, as you know, in some point.

    [00:33:04] Yes, I do.

[00:33:06] I'm going to go with Klingons.

    [00:33:07] I'll just.

    [00:33:08] Yeah.

[00:33:09] Space Marines is, what franchise is that?

    [00:33:12] I'm not sure.

    [00:33:13] I don't know.

[00:33:14] There's Space Marines in a lot of things.

[00:33:16] That show that was on the Jeff Mandel worked on.

[00:33:19] If it's Battlestar Galactica or anything, I haven't gotten that far.

[00:33:21] Mike told me I need to watch that.

[00:33:23] But I'm not sure what.

[00:33:24] It's going to take some time.

[00:33:25] Miss Palfam says Mariner was so mature this episode.

    [00:33:28] She's becoming such a good officer.

[00:33:29] And yeah, we've been seeing that growth.

[00:33:31] There was definitely a split.

[00:33:33] Mariner is becoming more, like she says, more mature.

    [00:33:36] She's taking responsibility.

[00:33:38] She's trying to take a step back while Boimler's like, I'm going to jump into danger.

[00:33:42] You know, they kind of flipped.

[00:33:45] Because Boimler was always the.

[00:33:46] But it's a growth for both of them.

    [00:33:48] He's not.

    [00:33:48] Yes, exactly.

    [00:33:49] He's not as scared.

    [00:33:50] He's not as empowered.

    [00:33:51] But he's comfort.

    [00:33:53] He's got.

    [00:33:54] He's found a.

    [00:33:54] Thanks to her.

[00:33:55] And thanks to other things.

[00:33:56] He's found a comfort zone with being bold.

    [00:33:59] But he's bold.

    [00:34:00] Okay.

    [00:34:00] I started saying he's bold intelligently.

    [00:34:02] Okay.

[00:34:02] When he's getting thrown around by the.

    [00:34:05] But Mariner still.

    [00:34:07] It's what.

[00:34:08] When she had her Becky Freeman encounter.

    [00:34:11] I think.

    [00:34:12] Oh, yeah.

    [00:34:12] She's saying.

[00:34:13] She's like being cognizant of it.

    [00:34:15] It's like, okay.

    [00:34:15] I can still.

[00:34:17] It's like I can turn it on and off.

[00:34:18] I don't have to be a slave to my desire.

    [00:34:21] My desire.

    [00:34:21] My.

[00:34:23] You know, this is her therapy here.

[00:34:25] I don't have to have those feelings and be a slave to them.

[00:34:28] I could acknowledge the feelings and turn them on and off when I need to.

[00:34:31] You know what I mean?

[00:34:32] Well, it's funny you said that.

[00:34:34] Because when I asked Mike about the season.

[00:34:36] I was like, what can you tell me about the season?

[00:34:37] He's like Mariner is freed.

    [00:34:39] That was his answer.

[00:34:41] Because that was the question too.

[00:34:42] Is if she resolves her inner turmoil.

    [00:34:45] What's.

    [00:34:45] What's.

    [00:34:45] What's the character.

    [00:34:46] What's next?

    [00:34:47] I mean.

    [00:34:48] Happy and funny.

    [00:34:49] But what's the.

    [00:34:49] Yeah.

    [00:34:50] What's next?

[00:34:50] What's going to be the heart for her moving forward?

[00:34:52] If you solve her arc.

    [00:34:54] Then what's.

[00:34:55] What do you do with it?

[00:34:56] It looks like the Space Marines is Warhammer 40k.

    [00:34:59] Okay.

    [00:35:00] So no.

    [00:35:00] No.

    [00:35:02] Way off.

    [00:35:03] And then growth.

[00:35:04] We love to see it.

[00:35:06] And then Tanya is such a great actor.

    [00:35:08] And yeah.

    [00:35:08] I mean.

    [00:35:09] They all are.

[00:35:10] It's been amazing seeing just.

    [00:35:12] How.

    [00:35:14] How.

[00:35:15] Just these characters have grown.

    [00:35:16] Even with Tendi.

    [00:35:17] Rutherford.

[00:35:18] Like everybody has just shown so much growth.

    [00:35:20] To Lynn.

    [00:35:21] For sure.

    [00:35:21] And she's.

    [00:35:22] You know.

    [00:35:22] The new one.

[00:35:23] But I do want to mention real fast.

[00:35:25] Before we get into the next segment.

[00:35:28] That Boimler scream last week.

[00:35:31] I want that as my ringtone.

    [00:35:33] I'm not.

    [00:35:35] When I.

    [00:35:36] And I.

    [00:35:36] I said this.

[00:35:37] No one can do him more than Jack.

[00:35:38] When he went off the cliff.

    [00:35:40] And it was the.

    [00:35:41] Okay.

    [00:35:42] I was like.

    [00:35:43] Okay.

    [00:35:43] This is really funny.

    [00:35:44] And then I went.

    [00:35:45] Wait a minute.

[00:35:46] And it was so off.

[00:35:47] And it was the cliff.

    [00:35:48] And the thing.

    [00:35:48] And.

    [00:35:49] And then.

    [00:35:49] And then you.

    [00:35:50] And then he.

    [00:35:50] He's still.

    [00:35:51] I'm like.

    [00:35:52] Okay.

    [00:35:52] Part of this is.

[00:35:53] How long are we going to stretch this?

    [00:35:54] Until it's like.

[00:35:55] How long are you going to push this?

[00:35:57] And they push it all the way.

[00:35:59] But then it turned into.

    [00:36:00] Oh.

    [00:36:00] He went.

[00:36:01] He went behind the bluff.

    [00:36:03] And then it's like.

    [00:36:04] There.

    [00:36:05] I was thinking.

[00:36:05] There better be a little poof of smoke there.

    [00:36:07] There was.

    [00:36:08] And I was like.

    [00:36:09] There was.

    [00:36:10] It's a Looney.

    [00:36:10] The Warner Brothers.

    [00:36:11] It's a Looney Tunes homage.

    [00:36:13] Yes.

    [00:36:14] And then.

    [00:36:14] I saw.

    [00:36:15] I think.

    [00:36:16] Somewhere.

    [00:36:16] They said.

    [00:36:17] Yep.

    [00:36:17] Yep.

    [00:36:17] It sure was.

    [00:36:18] Yeah.

    [00:36:19] Oh my goodness.

    [00:36:20] No.

    [00:36:20] I mean.

    [00:36:21] I just cracked up.

    [00:36:22] Because like I said.

[00:36:23] I'll watch it at work at first.

[00:36:24] As I'm preparing for the day.

[00:36:26] And all I heard was the screaming.

    [00:36:27] I just started laughing.

[00:36:28] And one of my workers was like.

    [00:36:29] Are you okay?

    [00:36:30] I'm like.

    [00:36:30] I'm fine.

    [00:36:32] I'm just working.

    [00:36:33] Don't mind me.

    [00:36:35] Well.

    [00:36:35] The one last week.

    [00:36:36] With the.

    [00:36:37] The killer.

    [00:36:38] The Nanite killer.

    [00:36:39] 20-sided die of death.

    [00:36:41] You know.

    [00:36:41] Thing.

[00:36:42] The way it was so zany.

    [00:36:43] And running around.

    [00:36:44] And people.

    [00:36:45] It roll over people.

    [00:36:46] And absorb them.

    [00:36:47] But they weren't dead.

[00:36:48] It just sucked them up.

[00:36:49] So it was kind of like.

    [00:36:50] Comic violence.

[00:36:51] If it was even violent.

    [00:36:53] That.

    [00:36:53] That also.

    [00:36:54] Was just so crazy.

    [00:36:56] Bugs.

    [00:36:57] Daffy.

    [00:36:57] You know.

    [00:36:59] Roadrunner.

    [00:36:59] Absolutely.

    [00:36:59] Looney Tunes.

    [00:37:01] That whole.

[00:37:01] That whole episode last week.

    [00:37:03] Was just.

    [00:37:04] Because it made no.

    [00:37:05] I mean.

    [00:37:05] It was like.

    [00:37:05] It was.

    [00:37:05] You know.

    [00:37:06] Defying physics.

    [00:37:08] And I was like.

    [00:37:09] Yeah.

    [00:37:09] This is one time.

[00:37:10] When the animated Star Trek.

[00:37:11] Is leaning into classic animations.

    [00:37:13] I will say though.

    [00:37:14] I was.

    [00:37:15] Slightly.

    [00:37:16] Just a smidge.

    [00:37:17] Disappointed.

    [00:37:18] Wesley Crusher.

    [00:37:18] Wasn't mentioned.

    [00:37:19] But it's fine.

[00:37:22] He created these nine nights.

    [00:37:23] He should have had.

[00:37:24] Some kind of a shout out.

    [00:37:24] But it's okay.

    [00:37:25] It's fine.

    [00:37:25] Yeah.

    [00:37:26] I got over it.

    [00:37:26] But I did.

    [00:37:28] Um.

    [00:37:28] Do my.

    [00:37:30] Tricorder rating.

    [00:37:31] To have people.

    [00:37:32] See.

    [00:37:33] What they.

    [00:37:34] Rated this episode.

[00:37:35] So I'm going to do that right now.

    [00:37:37] My tricorder.

[00:37:41] I only got seven votes.

    [00:37:42] But that's okay.

    [00:37:44] Seven percent.

    [00:37:45] Gave it five.

    [00:37:46] Pain sticks.

    [00:37:47] Thirty percent.

    [00:37:48] Gave it four.

    [00:37:49] Hogfish.

    [00:37:50] And.

    [00:37:52] And.

    [00:37:53] Two.

    [00:37:54] A moose push.

    [00:37:56] I mean.

[00:37:57] That's how they got caught.

[00:37:58] They thought they were eating.

    [00:37:59] Some delicious amuse bush.

    [00:38:00] And it wasn't.

    [00:38:03] With their little bag.

    [00:38:04] With the label.

    [00:38:05] Yeah.

[00:38:05] That was such an amplified.

    [00:38:06] Animated Star Trek.

    [00:38:08] Uh.

    [00:38:08] Ha ha.

    [00:38:09] Gotcha thing.

    [00:38:09] I was going.

    [00:38:10] Okay.

    [00:38:10] They're too arrogant.

    [00:38:11] They're too arrogant.

    [00:38:12] Yeah.

[00:38:12] I was waiting for that.

    [00:38:13] I was like.

[00:38:13] They're going to do something.

    [00:38:14] Something's going on.

    [00:38:16] But.

    [00:38:17] What would you.

[00:38:18] What would you rate this?

    [00:38:20] I would.

[00:38:20] I'm sitting here madly now.

[00:38:22] Trying to think of another.

    [00:38:23] Another cool thing.

    [00:38:24] Hogfish.

    [00:38:25] Got me there.

    [00:38:27] I would.

    [00:38:28] No wait.

    [00:38:28] So.

[00:38:29] Is it one to five?

[00:38:30] That's how your rating is?

    [00:38:32] Yeah.

    [00:38:32] Five is the best.

    [00:38:33] Oh okay.

    [00:38:33] I was like.

    [00:38:33] Wow.

    [00:38:33] Nobody went above five.

    [00:38:35] I would say.

    [00:38:37] I'd say a four.

[00:38:39] I'm very hesitant to ever hand.

    [00:38:41] Whatever.

    [00:38:41] Whether it's fives.

    [00:38:42] Or tens.

    [00:38:43] Or hundreds.

    [00:38:43] Or whatever.

[00:38:44] I'm very hesitant to give out the top one.

    [00:38:46] Until I.

    [00:38:48] So.

    [00:38:48] So.

    [00:38:49] Four is.

    [00:38:50] Yeah.

[00:38:50] Four is high praise here.

    [00:38:52] Four is high praise.

[00:38:53] I gave five for last week.

[00:38:55] Because I really did enjoy the episode.

    [00:38:58] They did.

[00:38:58] They did a lot of good closures.

[00:39:00] I think Talin was awesome.

    [00:39:01] I was enjoying it.

    [00:39:02] I had a lot.

    [00:39:02] I've heard.

[00:39:03] I've just randomly seen people online.

[00:39:05] Or in threads to Second Opinion and things.

    [00:39:08] Say.

[00:39:08] They thought that the third episode was a letdown.

    [00:39:10] After the first two.

    [00:39:11] And I'm like.

    [00:39:12] I don't.

    [00:39:12] I don't.

    [00:39:13] I didn't.

    [00:39:14] They're all differently toned.

    [00:39:15] But I didn't think it was a letdown.

    [00:39:17] Yeah.

    [00:39:18] At all.

    [00:39:20] Now.

[00:39:20] Miss Powell family has a question for you Larry.

[00:39:23] Was the micro Starfleet ship a reference to something?

    [00:39:27] I think you're talking about last week's episode.

    [00:39:30] Oh.

    [00:39:30] To that little baby.

[00:39:32] Little baby Voyager type ship.

    [00:39:34] That was stuck.

    [00:39:35] Oh.

[00:39:35] I think it was just that.

[00:39:37] Not like a licensed toy.

    [00:39:39] But I mean.

    [00:39:39] I think it was.

[00:39:40] That was last episode's clue.

[00:39:43] About the greater season arc.

    [00:39:45] Being alternate quantum universes.

    [00:39:47] Somehow.

    [00:39:47] Now.

    [00:39:47] Or something.

    [00:39:48] Yeah.

    [00:39:49] Yeah.

    [00:39:49] That really threw it.

[00:39:49] That was the part of last week's show.

[00:39:51] That like no one talked about.

    [00:39:52] And I was like.

    [00:39:53] Like wait a minute.

[00:39:54] We just had like a one little ship.

    [00:39:57] Version.

    [00:39:57] That just showed up.

    [00:39:58] Yeah.

[00:39:59] Everybody thinks of quantum universes.

[00:40:00] As do you have a goatee or not.

    [00:40:02] You know.

    [00:40:02] It's like.

    [00:40:04] But like what about.

    [00:40:05] What about size.

    [00:40:06] Like micro.

[00:40:07] There was the micro universe.

    [00:40:09] On.

    [00:40:09] The playing God.

[00:40:12] And I totally forgot about that.

    [00:40:13] So just now.

    [00:40:14] Now.

[00:40:15] But that was the one time.

    [00:40:16] When they said.

    [00:40:17] Here's another unit.

[00:40:17] And they weren't trying to say.

    [00:40:18] It was a mirror.

    [00:40:19] You know.

    [00:40:19] It wasn't like.

[00:40:20] That was a perfect little Starfleet.

[00:40:21] That's the only perfect little Starfleet captain.

    [00:40:23] Yeah.

[00:40:24] But that's the only time anybody.

[00:40:26] And then the shrinking ship on one little ship joke.

[00:40:29] And the animated series had the Territons.

[00:40:31] But that was artificial shrinking.

[00:40:33] And they enlarged them back to real life.

[00:40:34] But no one ever talks about.

[00:40:36] Is size a component of.

    [00:40:38] Because some of that's.

    [00:40:39] Okay.

    [00:40:39] This is.

    [00:40:40] I started.

    [00:40:40] I am not a scientist.

    [00:40:41] But I suddenly started.

    [00:40:43] Science.

    [00:40:43] Science.

    [00:40:44] Weedy.

    [00:40:44] But you know.

    [00:40:45] Like it's a thing about mass.

    [00:40:47] It's.

    [00:40:48] People would say.

    [00:40:49] When Odo.

[00:40:49] Goes down to being a flea.

[00:40:51] What does all the mass go?

[00:40:53] Is it like the world's densest flea.

[00:40:54] When he becomes a flea.

[00:40:55] Or when he becomes a cloud.

    [00:40:57] Is he.

    [00:40:58] You know.

    [00:40:58] Or a spaceship.

[00:40:59] Is he the lightest spaceship ever.

[00:41:01] So there's things like that.

[00:41:03] But we never talk about this.

[00:41:04] And that's what got me.

[00:41:05] On three levels last week.

[00:41:06] But the bottom line thing was.

    [00:41:09] Oh look.

    [00:41:09] It's another adjacent vortex.

    [00:41:11] Another reference.

    [00:41:13] Yeah.

    [00:41:13] Dimensional rifts.

    [00:41:15] Yes.

    [00:41:15] And of course.

[00:41:15] That little joke of the.

[00:41:17] She said it was a month of hell.

[00:41:19] Instead of a year of hell.

    [00:41:20] Yeah.

    [00:41:21] Yeah.

    [00:41:21] A month.

    [00:41:22] A month.

    [00:41:23] That.

    [00:41:23] It was almost like.

    [00:41:24] Hey audience.

    [00:41:26] So.

    [00:41:28] Like I said.

    [00:41:28] I enjoyed.

    [00:41:29] That episode.

    [00:41:31] But.

[00:41:32] Let me check my notes.

    [00:41:33] Real fast.

    [00:41:34] Because I think.

    [00:41:35] So we.

[00:41:36] We've already talked about the.

    [00:41:37] Cloakins.

[00:41:38] I just love that name.

    [00:41:39] Oh yeah.

    [00:41:40] It sounds.

    [00:41:40] It sounds like a.

    [00:41:41] A chicken clucky.

    [00:41:43] And I love how we've got.

    [00:41:44] Avianoids like.

    [00:41:45] So.

    [00:41:45] Which they did.

    [00:41:46] Yeah.

    [00:41:47] I was.

    [00:41:47] I was.

[00:41:48] Going back a little bit.

    [00:41:50] So on the.

    [00:41:50] Remember the peanut ham.

    [00:41:52] The peanut hamster show.

    [00:41:53] With the.

    [00:41:54] With the avians.

    [00:41:55] Or the avianoids.

    [00:41:56] Or the ornithoids.

    [00:41:57] Or whatever.

    [00:41:58] They were the.

    [00:41:59] Aerior.

    [00:42:00] Aeriori.

    [00:42:01] Aerior.

    [00:42:02] Anyway.

    [00:42:02] And these are Cloakins.

    [00:42:04] And we had the.

    [00:42:05] Aurelians.

    [00:42:06] From the animated series.

    [00:42:07] Where all this started.

    [00:42:08] Uh-huh.

    [00:42:09] And then.

    [00:42:09] And then Prodigy.

    [00:42:10] Had the.

    [00:42:11] Aurelian.

    [00:42:12] But he was a.

    [00:42:12] Flightless Aurelian.

    [00:42:14] I've gone blank.

    [00:42:15] Oh.

    [00:42:15] Adeak.

    [00:42:16] And anyway.

    [00:42:17] So it's like.

    [00:42:18] It's like.

    [00:42:19] So.

    [00:42:19] It's not like.

    [00:42:20] Oh.

    [00:42:20] The different animators.

    [00:42:21] Are just getting sloppy.

    [00:42:22] On how they draw.

    [00:42:23] Because normally they don't.

    [00:42:24] They're all so anal.

    [00:42:25] About doing everything.

    [00:42:26] You know.

    [00:42:26] On both shows.

    [00:42:27] Right.

    [00:42:28] Prodigy and Lord X.

    [00:42:30] So.

    [00:42:30] But I.

    [00:42:30] So that's why I was glad.

[00:42:31] And then here's Nigglimo, who they don't say is a species.

[00:42:35] And it's like, are they just, is this like a lazy version of Aurelians who are very sleek?

[00:42:41] And he's got the Tweety head, you know?

    [00:42:44] Yeah.

    [00:42:44] Chicken Hawk head.

[00:42:45] And so finally, no, it's a different species.

[00:42:48] And then I was going back and went, oh, the avians that Peanut Hamster was with were round-headed too, but they were different.

[00:42:57] And then the Aurelians are kind of sleek.

[00:43:00] And then the ancient school.

[00:43:01] Anyway, I was like, okay, we're having a diversity of avianoids, much less diversity within each species.

[00:43:09] Like the Aurelians, some of them are flighted and then some of them don't have wings and they don't, they can't fly.

    [00:43:15] Anyway.

[00:43:16] I mean, I blanked that out because Peanut Hamper is not my favorite.

    [00:43:23] Thank you.

    [00:43:24] Yeah.

[00:43:25] But I mean, but hey, it's cannon.

    [00:43:26] It's in there.

[00:43:27] Miss Powell says, isn't that name a joke on a bird's orifice?

    [00:43:33] Cloakkin?

    [00:43:34] See, I haven't got that far.

    [00:43:36] I was at a premiere yesterday.

[00:43:37] I had to drive to it.

    [00:43:38] So I'm behind.

    [00:43:41] I'm about halfway through.

    [00:43:43] I would be surprised.

[00:43:45] So guys, just so you know, he has his second opinion that will air.

    [00:43:51] Is it tomorrow?

[00:43:53] We're working on it now.

[00:43:55] It'll be, it'll either be Saturday night or Sunday.

    [00:43:57] Yeah.

    [00:43:57] Okay.

    [00:43:58] Dr.

    [00:43:58] Trek.

[00:43:59] You might get your answers.

[00:44:00] You might get your answers then.

[00:44:03] I plucked Larry too soon for his, for his second.

    [00:44:06] I couldn't, I couldn't get everything.

    [00:44:08] I can't give everything away today.

[00:44:09] Anyway, I have to save some.

    [00:44:11] That's true.

    [00:44:11] Yes.

[00:44:11] We have to save some so we can see your, your second opinion.

[00:44:15] But was there anything else that stood out in this episode that you want to mention

    [00:44:18] before we move on?

[00:44:19] Well, we need to mention one thing that in the voice, a lot of the voice.

[00:44:23] So the guy that played the agree.

[00:44:24] I love the fact that the Klingons have a, an oversight commission.

[00:44:29] Like that's so numbingly bureaucratic.

[00:44:32] It's like, aha, see, there are bureaucratic, there are bureaucratic, uh, uh, uh, Klingons.

[00:44:38] But, uh, so the, so the, uh, some of the voices, so the, the guy that did the voice

[00:44:43] of his, of the guy he killed is the same.

[00:44:46] I've, I've lost my, where's my little actor notes here that I bet.

[00:44:50] I'm still putting things together.

[00:44:52] So, um, so Ma'ar is, uh, is John Curry who played Ma'ar on Wejdouj and Inner Fight.

[00:44:59] But his brother, Malor, uh, is Mailer, not Malor.

[00:45:05] Malor was the tyrant that fought Kalos.

[00:45:07] But, uh, that's Sam Whitmer and Sam Whitmer is the same guy that, that voiced in the same

    [00:45:12] show voice.

    [00:45:13] What was his name?

    [00:45:14] Leglorn.

[00:45:15] He was the male Kloakkin.

[00:45:17] So he had two different, he was the both, but, uh, but Colton Dunn was the voice of the

[00:45:24] brother that he killed earlier.

[00:45:26] And now he's Barg, who was the Klingon that says, ah, you killed my brother.

[00:45:31] I'm not going to grant your bureaucratic form here.

[00:45:34] So the same guy did the, both of the brothers that wind up dying.

[00:45:37] But the biggest one of all is the, uh, Klingon that acts like she would have been his girlfriend,

[00:45:43] but he has not a captain.

[00:45:45] And if you could, that's Mary Chifo.

    [00:45:47] Chuck just said that.

    [00:45:51] I was waiting.

[00:45:52] I was all like, ah, yep.

[00:45:54] Chuck, Chuck beat you to it.

    [00:45:55] Sorry.

    [00:45:56] It is.

[00:45:59] No wonder her voice sounded familiar.

[00:46:01] Well, she was playing a really low kind of seductive, you know, thing.

[00:46:07] Chloe, that's what, see, when the minute you said that, I was like, wait a minute, I'm

[00:46:10] not the, I'm not a biologist, but, uh.

[00:46:13] It's again, this is all techno babble.

[00:46:14] We're all learning as, as we go.

    [00:46:16] It is the cloaca.

    [00:46:18] Yeah.

[00:46:19] The cloaca is the rear orifice that serves as the only opening for the digestive, reproductive

[00:46:25] and urinary tracts, if present of many vertebra animals, not just birds.

[00:46:31] Oh, I've learned something new today.

[00:46:33] When you, the minute you said that, I was like, wait a minute, that's, that rings a bell.

    [00:46:37] And I hadn't thought of that.

[00:46:38] Well, see, this is why we have Mrs. Powell family here because she catches these, these

    [00:46:44] certain things.

[00:46:45] And then Chuck says, I am a doctor, not a biologist.

    [00:46:48] Yes.

    [00:46:49] Yes.

[00:46:50] Oh, he's not on camera.

[00:46:51] I started to say my, my plushie McCoy back here.

    [00:46:54] Your plushie McCoy.

[00:46:56] Plushie McCoy would want to agree.

[00:46:58] He would agree for sure.

[00:47:01] I did enjoy this episode.

    [00:47:03] Like I said, I'm not a Klingon fan.

    [00:47:05] And so, um.

[00:47:06] Well, Laura Dex will make you a fan of anything if you're not already.

    [00:47:10] Exactly.

[00:47:10] That's pretty much what happens.

[00:47:12] The only thing that I really enjoyed that wasn't animated Klingons was, uh, like I said,

    [00:47:19] Martok.

    [00:47:20] I'm a love Martok.

[00:47:22] I thought he was great.

[00:47:23] And season three of Picard wharf.

    [00:47:26] That's about it.

    [00:47:29] Then wharf.

    [00:47:30] Just, just that wharf.

[00:47:32] I thought that was, uh, that was good, but you know, I think they just are so good at

[00:47:38] putting together these little things and puzzle piecing, not only cause like we were talking

[00:47:44] about the dimensional riffs and these little topics here and there, but then closing up

[00:47:48] other chapters like, and it's just, and it's only what 20 minute episodes, but it's so smooth.

[00:47:55] And it's just, you know, and then you just want to watch more of it.

    [00:47:59] Yeah.

[00:47:59] They take, they, they, they, they harness that, that zany pace of animation, but it has to

    [00:48:03] be that way.

[00:48:05] Anyway, it's exaggerated, but they compact that with it's whether it's visual, like the shows,

[00:48:10] like with a collector where it's like 40 billion, 47 billion, like Easter eggs to find on the

[00:48:16] walls or, and they, and they zip by in a half a second, or it's just, just the plot and the

    [00:48:21] characters and the, yeah.

    [00:48:23] And the cloaca cloaca.

    [00:48:25] Yes.

[00:48:26] Actually, I just forgot that I had my Instagram live on and, uh, Rashid says, Hey guys.

[00:48:32] He says, uh, hope you're well, Jesse and Larry.

[00:48:35] And then he was talking about leaves their culture.

    [00:48:40] Get it.

    [00:48:41] Larry.

[00:48:41] Ah, I wish I knew what he was talking about.

[00:48:43] What reference we were talking about.

[00:48:45] Cause I forgot to look at my Instagram.

[00:48:47] What, what did he say that you're puzzled by?

[00:48:49] He said, leaves their culture.

    [00:48:51] Get it, Larry.

[00:48:53] So I'm trying to think what we were talking about when Rashid wrote that.

[00:48:56] Well, I was saying something.

[00:48:57] Was it, we were talking about natives who, who leave their culture and they're not part

[00:49:02] of the mainstay, the mainstay.

    [00:49:05] Oh, yes.

    [00:49:06] Like non-warrior Klingons, non-capitalist.

    [00:49:08] Yes.

    [00:49:08] Non.

    [00:49:09] Yeah.

    [00:49:10] That's what it is.

    [00:49:11] Non-scientist Vulcans.

    [00:49:13] I don't know.

    [00:49:14] That's what it is.

    [00:49:15] Okay.

    [00:49:16] Cause I wasn't paying attention.

[00:49:17] I'm looking at this chat, but the Instagram chat doesn't, doesn't connect.

[00:49:21] I was like, oh shoot, I need to go check.

[00:49:23] And so he wrote that probably.

    [00:49:24] It's your empire.

    [00:49:25] You'd better teach.

    [00:49:25] I'm so sorry, Rashid.

[00:49:27] Um, but yeah, so that was, like I said, I enjoyed it.

    [00:49:32] We give it four.

    [00:49:33] Yeah.

[00:49:34] But everyone wants to write in the chat.

[00:49:36] Oh, and the, so the Klingon who was, if people didn't get it, Corrin, the other Klingon,

[00:49:41] the younger Klingon on the oversight commission was the same.

[00:49:44] And the reason Mariner had a connection with him and why he came at the end and confided

    [00:49:47] to her.

[00:49:48] He's the general and way back in the second episode that she and Boymler escorted and they

    [00:49:54] all got drunk together.

    [00:49:55] Oh yeah.

[00:49:55] But they had a history back then.

[00:49:57] So that's why he was so up for telling her what was going on and, and ratting out the

    [00:50:02] blowhard and all that.

[00:50:04] Isn't that where Boymler had his all like, cause he got his name wrong and he was like,

[00:50:08] I'm just happy that I'm even remembered.

    [00:50:12] Yep.

    [00:50:13] Yep.

[00:50:13] I'm just happy to be remembered incorrectly.

    [00:50:15] Yeah, exactly.

    [00:50:17] Well, thank you, Larry.

[00:50:19] This was so much fun.

[00:50:22] I mean, and like I said, you guys are going to learn more with Larry with his second opinion.

[00:50:27] So hopefully either tomorrow night or Sunday.

    [00:50:29] Yeah.

[00:50:31] But I definitely loved it.

[00:50:33] I do have one more segment if I could find, oh, actually I have two more things to actually

    [00:50:38] talk about.

[00:50:39] Did you look at yourself?

[00:50:39] The only time I had a segment.

    [00:50:40] I know.

[00:50:41] Was when Ollie and I did Lower Decks, when we did a life support live and we had segments

    [00:50:46] segments.

    [00:50:47] You had segments?

    [00:50:47] Yeah.

[00:50:48] Well, first off, I'm going to be doing my redhead alert.

[00:50:56] First off, I am going to talk about Trek Talks that is happening on January 18th.

[00:51:02] It's a telethon that helps raise money for the Hollywood Food Coalition.

[00:51:06] Find out all their information at trektalks.net.

[00:51:08] You can find them on any social media at attrektalks.net.

[00:51:22] proceeds will be donated to Trek Talks next year.

[00:51:25] So go check it out.

[00:51:26] And TeePublic is on sale as we speak.

[00:51:29] So also check out Larry's TeePublic, his store at teepublic.com forward slash stores forward

    [00:51:36] slash Trekland slash shop.

[00:51:38] I got all that down.

[00:51:40] The next topic that I have here is super excited.

    [00:51:45] It's Investigate.

[00:51:47] So Gates McFadden's podcast, Investigate, drops its first four episodes this Tuesday on

    [00:51:53] November 12th.

[00:51:54] The second batch of four episodes will drop on December 4th.

[00:51:58] So please do not forget to check it out on your favorite podcast app.

[00:52:02] She will have interviews with wonderful people like Todd Stashwick, Michelle Hurd, Jess Bush,

[00:52:07] David Ajala, and so many more.

[00:52:08] So don't forget to check that out.

[00:52:10] I am super, super excited.

    [00:52:12] Here is my information.

[00:52:13] You can buy my Crusher Convo merch at my TeePublic store.

[00:52:17] You can hear all the audio versions of my podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Good Pods,

[00:52:23] or wherever you like to listen to your podcast.

[00:52:31] a Patreon member as as low as $3 a month.

[00:52:34] For my Admiral Patreons, I will be doing reviews of Gates's podcast.

[00:52:40] So don't miss on that.

[00:52:41] And also an Admiral Crushel shout out to Engineer Mark.

[00:52:45] So thank you for your support.

[00:52:47] And you can find me on Instagram, threads, TikTok, and Blue Sky.

[00:52:51] Don't forget to like and subscribe here on YouTube.

[00:52:53] And all this information can be found on my website at CrusherCombo.com.

[00:52:59] Hopefully I got all of that out.

[00:53:01] It was a lot of information.

[00:53:02] But I am super excited because, guys, I did make up to 200 subscribers on YouTube.

    [00:53:08] So yay.

    [00:53:09] Yay.

[00:53:09] And I was doing a contest for people who were going to be new subscribers.

[00:53:14] And so I made it to 200.

[00:53:16] And so I'm going to announce the winner right now.

[00:53:19] So yay for Dr. RDA over on Twitter at Ahava Cohen.

    [00:53:27] Congratulations.

[00:53:28] You won the Beverly Crusher ornament, which everyone was so excited about.

[00:53:33] I was like, and I'm in Idaho.

[00:53:35] And trust me, these were like not going.

[00:53:37] So I was like able to buy two.

[00:53:38] So thank you guys for subscribing.

    [00:53:40] Super, super excited.

[00:53:41] I will reach out to you so we can give you your ornament.

[00:53:45] But yeah, I've just been, I'm no longer really on Twitter.

    [00:53:49] Anymore.

[00:53:50] That was kind of like Crusher Combo slash personal stuff.

[00:53:53] But I'm strictly now on the other socials.

[00:53:55] So hit me up over there.

[00:53:57] But yeah, this has been really, really great.

[00:54:00] We've been doing a lot of things.

[00:54:01] And like I said, if you guys want to get that Be Kind Like Crusher t-shirt,

[00:54:05] all the proceeds will go to Trek Talks next year.

[00:54:07] So I'm super, super excited on that.

    [00:54:09] That's very good.

    [00:54:09] Yeah.

[00:54:10] I need to do something.

    [00:54:11] Yeah.

    [00:54:11] Thank you.

[00:54:12] Thank you for always, for whatever reason,

[00:54:15] thank you for always including my little tea publics.

    [00:54:17] It's there.

    [00:54:18] But it's like, I don't promote it.

[00:54:20] We don't put new things in a lot, but it's there.

    [00:54:22] People want stuff, especially.

[00:54:24] I think about glasses more than I do t-shirts and things,

[00:54:28] but it's all my, all my brands are over there.

    [00:54:30] So.

[00:54:31] All your brands are over there.

    [00:54:32] I mean, it's because, you know,

[00:54:33] sometimes it's the full price and sometimes it's the sales.

[00:54:35] So it's always good to.

    [00:54:36] Yeah.

[00:54:36] They have the sales twice a month, which is great.

    [00:54:39] Like a third off.

    [00:54:40] Yeah.

    [00:54:40] Yeah.

    [00:54:41] Yeah.

[00:54:41] So that, that always helps.

[00:54:43] Chuck says, thank you, Jesse and Larry.

    [00:54:46] Ms.

[00:54:46] Pal family says, thanks for a great episode.

    [00:54:48] I really appreciate it.

[00:54:49] So Larry, where can they find you?

[00:54:52] Do you have anything happening?

[00:54:53] I think that you said something about happening next week.

[00:54:56] I've gone through some, well,

[00:54:58] I've gone through some big events already,

[00:55:00] but I'm going to say everything is at LarryNemichek.com.

[00:55:03] But every, I'm going to, I grabbed these from the show.

[00:55:07] So every, every Tuesday at one is specific.

[00:55:11] I have Trekland Tuesdays live,

[00:55:13] which is my live show with the chat.

[00:55:15] And sometimes they have a guest.

    [00:55:16] Oh, and next Tuesday,

[00:55:17] my guest is going to be a Nana visitor with her book.

    [00:55:20] I'm so excited.

    [00:55:22] That.

[00:55:22] And then every Tuesday, of course,

[00:55:24] we have the Trek files from Roddenberry,

[00:55:26] which now has a new homepage on memory alpha.

    [00:55:29] So that you're right.

[00:55:29] The player and the audio and the documents,

[00:55:33] of the week and anything photos and all that's all there with the,

[00:55:36] with the links back in.

[00:55:38] And then we, I keep mentioning second opinion,

[00:55:40] which I somehow don't have a thing here for,

[00:55:42] but second opinion when there's fresh Trek is my,

    [00:55:45] my review show.

    [00:55:46] That's about 15, 20 minutes, but it's my reactions.

    [00:55:49] And I don't,

[00:55:50] I still laugh at everybody that has to be first.

[00:55:54] I do like, I let to it.

[00:55:55] So I do my reactions,

[00:55:57] but I let a couple of days go by to see if there are reactions to the

    [00:56:00] reactions.

[00:56:00] And maybe I can, I can pull it,

[00:56:02] especially now that they're not 90% of the world is not getting screeners

    [00:56:06] or something, but they,

[00:56:09] it takes a longer now,

[00:56:10] but I also like to try to,

    [00:56:12] as I mentioned,

[00:56:13] ask writers and directors and people,

    [00:56:15] you know, if they,

    [00:56:16] I have a hunch about this.

    [00:56:17] Was there a thing?

    [00:56:18] Yeah.

    [00:56:19] Yeah.

[00:56:19] That was my first grade teacher that I made into a,

    [00:56:22] you know,

[00:56:22] cling on word or something.

    [00:56:23] So I like,

[00:56:24] I like to get those things out too.

    [00:56:26] Yeah.

    [00:56:27] And cadet Alice,

    [00:56:28] we,

[00:56:28] we still have cadet Alice watches prodigy with Dr.

    [00:56:31] Dread too.

[00:56:32] Now I'm a Patreon member of yours.

    [00:56:35] I'm a part of that.

    [00:56:36] Yes, you are.

    [00:56:36] I get to shout.

    [00:56:38] Yes.

    [00:56:39] So,

    [00:56:40] um,

    [00:56:40] it's definitely fun.

    [00:56:41] It's always,

    [00:56:42] you know,

[00:56:42] sometimes I don't really get to make it on your Tuesdays because of work,

    [00:56:45] but sometimes I try.

    [00:56:46] Um,

    [00:56:47] my,

    [00:56:47] so my big thing,

[00:56:48] portal 47 is my big,

    [00:56:50] uh,

    [00:56:50] yeah.

[00:56:51] It's my big backstage package of several things every month.

[00:56:53] And we've got a great portal community.

[00:56:55] And then of course I do the,

    [00:56:57] do the tour,

[00:56:58] do day tours that we pre-plan at Trekland treks around LA for,

    [00:57:02] for location sites.

    [00:57:03] So if anybody's interested,

[00:57:05] but that's all at Larry never check.com.

    [00:57:06] Yep.

    [00:57:07] Well,

    [00:57:07] thank you again.

    [00:57:08] So,

    [00:57:08] you know,

    [00:57:09] I,

    [00:57:10] Oh,

    [00:57:10] and the YouTube,

    [00:57:10] the YouTube.

[00:57:11] I'm so bad about my YouTube.

    [00:57:13] Yeah,

    [00:57:13] please.

    [00:57:14] I need the numbers.

    [00:57:15] I've done that.

[00:57:16] I'll sometimes just do the YouTube and forget that I even have a website.

    [00:57:19] And I'm like,

    [00:57:20] gosh,

    [00:57:20] that's why I wrote everything down.

    [00:57:23] I'm like,

[00:57:23] I'm going to forget something,

[00:57:25] but thank you all so much for joining us tonight.

[00:57:28] I will see you guys next week.

[00:57:29] Cause I discuss episode five star base 80 question mark.

[00:57:33] So we shall see how that goes.

    [00:57:37] I don't know what's going to happen,

    [00:57:39] but as always,

    [00:57:41] thank you,

    [00:57:42] Larry Trek.

    [00:57:43] Well,

[00:57:43] everyone live long in process.

    [00:57:46] You stole my line.

    [00:57:47] Trek.

    [00:57:47] Well,

    [00:57:47] everybody.

    [00:57:49] Trek.

    [00:57:50] Well,

    [00:57:50] but thanks guys.

    [00:57:51] Appreciate it.

    [00:57:52] Bye.

    [00:57:53] Pressure out.

    [00:57:54] Bye.
