[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, as I said, I am continuing my review of Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 where you're going to be talking about episodes 6-10.

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, super excited about this bunch of episodes just because of who pops in at the end.

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm very, very excited.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_06]: So thank you for bearing with me as I was, had my own little technical issues while trying to get started.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_06]: But at least I am here.

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_06]: So but yeah, let's just go ahead and get this started, shall we?

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_06]: And let's start with episode 6 which is imposter syndrome.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, when I first saw that they were having hollow doubles to trick the doctor and trick Janeway and her crew.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, like I said last week, everyone's kind of like an I Love Lucy episode, right?

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_06]: So something is bound to go wrong.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_06]: But I did want to mention something which I found kind of interesting.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_06]: So again, they are trying to use these holograms to trick the crew.

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_06]: They tend to go against each other because they made the holograms too perfect, at least rocked it.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_06]: And so the holograms think that they're the real deal and so they're fighting each other and stuff except for Rock.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Like her double and her herself are like besties.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_06]: And it was perfect because that's Rock's character.

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Like that's just how she is.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_06]: She's always about helping people so it didn't even surprise me that her hollow double would just be her perfect little twin, right?

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I did find out though as I was watching this, I was reading it in subtitles.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Janeway wanted to talk to the kids because she wanted to see how they were doing because she thinks that they're upset because they're going to be not trying to find chacote and all that stuff.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And they have to try and play it cool.

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_06]: She said this line, she said, take heart knowing that faith is never futile.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Resistance is futile.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I had to do that.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_06]: It was the first thing that I thought of and I'm all like, did Aaron and the brothers and all of them just like, let's take little bits of the famous, you know, Faith of the Heart and resistance is futile and put it into this really nice little scene.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know. That was the first thing I thought of.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_06]: So Jay says, I like that there were a few times where we weren't too sure which was the real protostar crew.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_06]: And yeah, they made them perfectly, right?

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay, I mean it was, I don't even think, I think it was wrong like the whole time.

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_06]: I was like, oh, that's down.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_06]: No, that's down.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_06]: No, that's wrong.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, I was going back and forth.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_06]: And the only time I actually thought I knew was correct and I was correct was Jacob because he started to question himself while the hollow double was like, I'm correct.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_06]: So that was the only time that I knew who was right.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_06]: I was still kind of confused about zero.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Was it sure where they stood in that moment?

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, I think it was done very, very well.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_06]: It was a nice little mystery.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_06]: It was a fun little episode.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_06]: I did like that.

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Mejelle was trying to apologize to zero was trying to be like, you know what?

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_06]: I was wrong.

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm very sorry that this happened.

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_06]: I know I've been distant.

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I think she said so and this is where you start to kind of see that she she's getting to like zero a little bit right.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, she's just filling a connection with zero.

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_06]: So that was nice to see.

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_06]: But and then she even helped them escape at the end because you know, they're trying to get on to the infinity so they could go try and find Chacote because they think this mysterious ghost is the one is Chacote and they're like, we can't abandon him now.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Like we got to go save him.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_06]: He found a way to come in.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_06]: We got to be able to do this right?

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_06]: And so there they go off doing their old thing.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_06]: And like I said, they they needed a way to hide themselves.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_06]: I guess he's just say which is why they did the hollow doubles but major figure that they were up to something but it was probably for a good reason.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's why she helped them.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I don't know if you know Jay or anyone else that is watching has any more little tidbits to this episode.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I think it was a good starter to this little second half.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I guess, I guess you can kind of see though that season two was two parts white one through 10 and then 11 through 20.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_06]: So we're nearing the end of that first half.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_06]: And so it starts to pick up right you're starting to notice that there's more things going on and you're curious about what's happening.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_06]: So I definitely did like that for sure.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_06]: So but yeah, so I guess we will go ahead to our next episode which was the fast and the curious.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Your defiance is reprehensible.

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_05]: But I am a generous March.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I have one final offer.

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_06]: So I will have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of this episode.

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_06]: It's definitely a filler episode and for good reason because it's trying to put in the course for zero story.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_06]: So it kind of happens in different sections.

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And the first thing you see is Dow still thinks he's a captain, right?

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_06]: He keeps saying captain's log.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_06]: He keeps trying to give them orders and they're like, hey guys or all the guys are like, hey, guess what?

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_06]: You're not the captain.

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_06]: We're all equals here.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_06]: So you can kind of see that the kids are getting annoyed with Dow when it came to that.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_06]: But even in that scene where he's talking to that case on, he's trying to lead the way on how to get out of whatever mess that because they weren't even sure what was going on.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course, Gwen stepped up.

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I wasn't a huge case on fan from the Voyager episodes.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_06]: I think it they were okay.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I honestly, I hated Cezka.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_06]: So maybe that's why but I think for to use the case on it was just kind of like, I mean, honestly, they could have used anybody for this.

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_06]: It kind of was like, okay, you know.

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay says that he agrees about the episode so thank you, Jay.

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_06]: And he says that he kind of forgot about it.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_06]: And that was true.

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_06]: It just wasn't an episode that really grabbed me.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I wasn't I was kind of like losing interest.

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_06]: The only thing that I thought was interesting was that well, I like they mentioned the transwarp conduit.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_06]: And I did kind of like the pod racey and I was like Star Wars.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_06]: So that made me excited.

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, another Star Wars reference.

[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Sorry.

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_06]: But I did kind of like the golem moments.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, Smigel go on going back and forth the case on character was trying to fight whatever was controlling him.

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And so I kind of got that that Smigel moment there.

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_06]: As he was trying to, you know, clearly he wasn't strong enough and so the, and we find out some AI computer that just shows that we need to be very careful with AI because they could take over.

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah.

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_06]: So of course this AI is a master manipulator.

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_06]: It became too perfect for its creators and it was just trying to I guess destroy anything that wasn't as superior as they were.

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_06]: That was kind of it.

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_06]: We didn't really have a background story which I guess wasn't important, obviously.

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_06]: But maybe it kind of led the way for zero because you know they are a non-caporial entity.

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And here is this AI which is also non-caporial but zero had more of a sense to be like have feelings have love for their friends.

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_06]: And so it's one of those things that I think that's what guided.

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_06]: That's why this episode was important for zero story because it guided their story into where it ended in the next episode.

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_06]: So not the greatest and then, I mean, and then they left.

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Like they're like, okay, you know, zero sacrifices themselves to save the crew.

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_06]: I was a little sad when, you know, the AI thing took over Murph.

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean my heart kind of broke a little bit but zero was struggling to, you know, they fought so hard to make sure that their friends were okay.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's what was important to the character and but then they left and the K-Zone is just like, bye.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm all, okay. He's now all alone. I don't know what's going on.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what's happening.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_06]: I did like the shipyard scene and if you're, I remember seeing it and I just like paused it and I was trying to see.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course we see the USS Cairo, which was Jellico's ship.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_06]: And I think in J, correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like it was lower decks that mentioned that the Cairo had gone missing from somewhere.

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't really remember.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_06]: It was in Voyager.

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_06]: It somewhere, but it was interesting because they just thought that it disappeared off somewhere else and then this completely flips it on its head.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's like, no, it landed here and no one survived apparently.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_06]: So that was interesting.

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And I liked, I loved those little details, you know, Aaron and Dan and Kevin and all of the creators here, they spared no detail.

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_06]: They went as far as the most smallest of all of it just to make sense to the story.

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_06]: And like he said, they didn't want to try to shoot in anything.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_06]: They wanted it to be organic.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_06]: They wanted it to flow properly and it worked like even something as much as we just see the Cairo abandon and stuck in the rock form.

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_06]: It was like, I'm blown away by this.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I didn't know much about the ship, but I knew it was important.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I knew the significance of it.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_06]: So Jay says, I can't remember, but the Cairo was an Excelsior class ship.

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Am I right?

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_06]: You, you know ships.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_06]: I know nothing.

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I know that I know the Enterprise D is a galaxy ship and the Elio Elyos is a phoenix.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_06]: That's all I know.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I know nothing else.

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't even tell you what Voyager is.

[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't tell you anything.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, actually what is it?

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_06]: The constitutional is the original Enterprise, I believe.

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm, you know, are they thinking the Pegasus?

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, am I thinking the Pegasus?

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I could be.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, I don't know ships.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know nothing.

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_06]: But I know the Pegasus though was Riker's old ship with his old captain that bad role in the episode Pegasus.

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_06]: So that is the only time that I remember that, that ship.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_06]: But, but yeah, I mean, like I said, filler episode just to set course to the next one, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know about you, but I loved this episode.

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_06]: So this would be episode eight of these five.

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm glad that they didn't just leave zero in that bad state, right?

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_06]: They were very good about just going on to the next story, like continuing it.

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Like it was kind of a true Parker, I guess you can kind of say even though it really wasn't.

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm just glad we didn't have to wait any longer when it came to that.

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_06]: So but yeah, I did enjoy that aspect as we are going into this next episode.

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_06]: They were so excited when they saw another being just like them, right?

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_06]: And the fact that they were in a body that just got them so excited and I loved their excitement over it.

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, here's where it goes into the next one.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I will mention real fast. I thought it was absolutely hilarious that they brought back those red visors that was from.

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I can't remember if this is the same title or it's worded a little differently.

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_06]: But it's the one that had Diana Muldare with the Medusin and you know, telepathic all that stuff.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_06]: But they had that red visor so then they wouldn't like, I don't know, go go mad.

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I have no idea.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_06]: But I thought it was clever to bring it back. I mean, it made sense.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, it's not shoe horn in. It was literally a reason and hits also a callback.

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, so, you know, zero finds all these Medusins or other aliens just like the Medusins who are there with new, you know, capoeira bodies and are able to feel things for the first time because that's what we were saying with zero.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_06]: They wanted to feel they wanted to touch they wanted to have those senses in this place is offering that to them.

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I did get season one of Picard vibes when zero went into that chamber because his body is a golem.

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_06]: I believe is how you say it. And so he was in that chamber and stuff.

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_06]: So it's, I guess that's what zero's body is is also a column.

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure anyone in the chat can correct me if I'm wrong, but that's that that was the vibe that I got.

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_06]: So, Jay, I knew you were a little silent for a second.

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I knew you're like, Oh, I think he dropped for a little bit, but he's back. Yay.

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Just talking about the Medusin episode with zero.

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I found it just interesting.

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_06]: I just got that season one of Picard vibes with the body in the that chamber and creating it for for zero.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_06]: I loved, loved when the kids saw zero for the first time.

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_06]: They were so excited for them.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_06]: And even I on was all like you have some great friends, right?

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Like they were just they've been waiting patiently and all that stuff.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And I love that reaction.

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_06]: And I love that zero was like, I feel what that was their reaction was I feel and it was so sweet.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, it was definitely a really tender moment.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay says not sure if you mentioned but love the return of the visors. I did mention it. Don't worry.

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely mentioned the return of the visors.

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I thought that was just another sweet moment between them.

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course they're all like, you know, what's next?

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_06]: What are we going to do?

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, they still have this adventure to get to and try to figure it out.

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_06]: The only reason why they made that stop us because zero needed help, right?

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course they find out that these medusins and all them are kind of hiding a little bit.

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I kind of understood Ion's reasoning.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_06]: They were like, we didn't tell them the whole truth but we need them to make the decision for themselves, which is true.

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_06]: But you kind of need to put it all out the table.

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Like maybe they thought they would scare them off if they told them all too much.

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure but it was, you know, they weren't malicious and that's what I liked about it.

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Because at first you might think, oh are they going to hurt zero?

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Are they not going to be pleasant?

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Are they going to be rude?

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Are they going to try to take zero and do something to them?

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_06]: But no, they were actually generally concerned and kind and wanted to do what was best for zero.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_06]: And be like, hey, we figured this out.

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_06]: This is why we're here.

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_06]: We wanted to share it with you as well.

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_06]: But you know that little detail was you can't ever leave.

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, and that was very, very important especially because that scene where they, you know, zero reunites with all of them after they get their new body.

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_06]: That just shows how much they mean to them.

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And so that was a good moment to just kind of continue on with that story.

[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay says, this was such a great zero episode really gave us a look at how they feel.

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's very true.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_06]: But it's just everything that zero goes through, you know, and we were seeing that in those first few episodes where, you know, they even talked to the doctor about, you know, growing beyond their programming.

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_06]: So this was leading up to this part.

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course, you know, you don't think what's going to happen because I wasn't sure as I was watching this like, is zero going to stay with this body as much as I enjoyed zero with this body?

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_06]: I also liked zero as zero, right?

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_06]: We knew zero in that little chamber, you know, circular thing that they created.

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's just how we knew zero of but, you know, like I said, grow beyond the programming.

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_06]: They were growing and they were evolving, right?

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_06]: And so I wasn't sure where it was going to go.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_06]: I wasn't sure if this is how they were going to stay.

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I absolutely adored this look and I did like how they were just enjoying the most simplest things.

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_06]: I remember so I had just talked about Sub Rosa with Danny a couple of weeks ago and we had loved the little moment where Deanna had gone into Beverly's grandma's house and she played with the little flower, right?

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_06]: She's just like, oh my gosh, I've never seen this.

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_06]: She's just sprung in it, right?

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_06]: This was kind of zero's moment like that because they were learning everything.

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_06]: They started shoving food in their mouths and they were even concerned watching this because they're like, oh my gosh, are they going to get sick?

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, but they were just so excited and that's what was so enjoyable about it.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_06]: They looked like a little kid and zero is just such a very wholesome character that it was just kind of, you know, you enjoy that for this character.

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay says, but you have to survive the murder whales first.

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Is that what you want to call it?

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_06]: The murder whales?

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_06]: I was wondering, I was kind of thinking more of like a stingray.

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought it had stingray like fins going on.

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_06]: And I know it was trying to eat the flowers.

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I kind of understand that, but yeah, I definitely saw a stingray out of that, but they did show a Parisi squares.

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Finally, it only took what?

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, Jay, what 35 years?

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_06]: 36 years?

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_06]: We've heard of Parisi squares.

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_06]: We've always wondered people apparently can break their neck according to Beverly Crusher.

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_06]: So we never knew what is this dangerous game that apparently everyone wants to, wants to play because Meijelle was so she knew something was up.

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, the last episode at the very end, we got the first look of the loom.

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_06]: So then that's what you're like, okay, something else is going on.

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And so she had to alert Janeway.

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_06]: She had to alert everyone else like something else is going on.

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_06]: We need to figure it out because I think the crew is in danger.

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_06]: This was her way of like, now we're starting to see Meijelle be more concerned.

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Like she's starting like really liking these group of kids that at first she was so mean to in the beginning of the season.

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_06]: And now she's concerned for their safety.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay says, no, you're right.

[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_06]: They were more stingray like any now is calling them murder rays.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I will allow it.

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Now we need a t-shirt versus murder rays anyways.

[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_06]: So I think it was funny though because, you know, Meijelle brings us to Janeway's attention.

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_06]: They realize, oh my gosh, these are hollow duplicates and the doctors are like, oh my, they use my hollow novel against me.

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_06]: He felt so betrayed because he was like, I'm so good that I just, I lost the kids.

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, what did I do?

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_06]: So I thought that was a very funny moment as Janeway is trying to figure out what's going on.

[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_06]: We go back to zero and all them.

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_06]: And I think it was called the festival of the feasts.

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_06]: The feast.

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_06]: No, it was sorry.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_06]: That was loud.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_06]: It's called the feast of senses.

[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what it was.

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_06]: So it was basically you're going to get all of the senses at once.

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_06]: So it was like the touch, taste, feel, you know, see.

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_06]: And then, but that's where they were like, what's the other sense?

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_06]: And it was like, well, it's fear, you know, because the thrill of being alive that fear in you, the adrenaline rush.

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what they were doing.

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_06]: They were doing an adrenaline rush.

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_06]: They were calling it fear, but that's what it was.

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_06]: And so it was like, if you survive this, then you never want to let it go, which is true.

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Our feelings are very, very important.

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_06]: And I think that's what's so good about Star Trek prodigy is that they would take these moments, something simple as feelings, you know, just taste, sight, touch, all that stuff and turn it into something that has a big meaning behind it.

[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And I think that's what they were going with with Zero's story, especially because part of that story keeps playing into the rest of the season.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_06]: So next week, when we start talking about episodes 11 through 15, we definitely see those dilemmas that zero gets put in and the choices they have to make.

[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Very, very well done in the writing when it came to that.

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought that was brilliantly done in that sense because even though this is technically a kids show, the writers and the creators did it with adults in mind and also Star Trek fans in mind.

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_06]: And so we're all learning these things together along with our kids that are watching this.

[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that's great.

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I love that about the show.

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, of course, Zero decides to leave even though they, you know, they would love to stay, but their friendship with the crew is more important.

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_06]: And it just, you know, they were just going to take their chances and see what happens.

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course, then you also see at the very end where they find the hologram Gwyn that had disappeared.

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_06]: It was in like a state of shock.

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Because it was fearful.

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_06]: It didn't know what it was trying to get.

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course all you see is arms.

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_06]: You don't know what's going on and you don't know what these creatures are.

[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_06]: And for Janeway, it was pretty, it was pretty scary because now she's like, okay, here we're trying to say, say, Cotay the kids go off to go save them themselves.

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_06]: And now we have another problem.

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm going to have, you know, Jelico on my butt here soon.

[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, because we're supposed to be going back to earth and now I have to go save the kids.

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And so now she has all this on her plate, but she is definitely always that captain where she never abandons her crew.

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Even hologram versions because that was a tough thing to see to see how that hologram was so scared.

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_06]: So I had a lot to talk about for that episode because I love zero.

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_06]: But anyways, I am ready to go ahead into my favorite parts guys.

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_06]: So let's get into it.

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Here is episode nine, which would be the devourer of all things part one.

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_00]: They invited me to become one of them helping where we could by manipulating reality itself with the powers of space, time and the most overlooked variable thought.

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I heard knowledge is power, but I didn't think it was literal.

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Thought is everything thought is a very powerful tool beyond what most beings understand like a lot of folks turns out they need our help and they don't even know it.

[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So you're like the interdimensional version of Starfleet.

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Kind of.

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_00]: But we like do more of our own thing.

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so I like I said last week, I thought these this ghost thing, the signs, the, you know, the rock with swirls and all that I thought that was to take.

[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_06]: None of my wildest dreams that I think it was Wesley Crusher.

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_06]: I remember when they landed, you know, they they found the coordinates and it was like nothing.

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_06]: They were like, are you sure we're in the right place?

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_06]: They were able to manipulate and unclog the planet, which is a call back to TNG season one.

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it's the it's the child one where they steal the children.

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_06]: I have it in my head.

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_06]: It has Jerry Harden in it who plays, you know, deep throat next files.

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so that's a callback right because they cloaked the planet.

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I was very happy to see that because that was definitely a Wesley thing to do or a trailer thing.

[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, not going to out the other guys as they land onto the planet and you hear voices.

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_06]: And at first I wasn't sure what what I was listening to.

[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_06]: But I remember trying to pay attention so I had to turn on my subtitles, but I was trying to pay attention and I hear and it sounded like the traveler saying, you know, this this plane is doomed.

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_06]: We can't do anything.

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_06]: We're going to have to leave.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_06]: And then you see the statue and it's of the traveler, actually two of them.

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_06]: And I was like, I had a moment where I think I stopped breathing for maybe 30 seconds.

[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_06]: And then you hear Wesley as they're getting closer up those steps into that vault.

[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_06]: He's like, well, I'm going to do something about it or something like that.

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Or like, I'm going to I'm going to try and try and save it.

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_06]: So of course this is 20th century vault door, which I believe is a callback to assignment Earth, right?

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And opens the door and there's Wesley Crusher.

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_06]: I screamed.

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_06]: I screamed.

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_06]: I had to.

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I was like, what?

[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, I think I even did a quick Instagram post where I did like a big shock.

[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, I was like, what?

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course I really wanted to like screen it into the cosmos and tell everybody but not everyone can binge watch the show like I was able to that day.

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, when it was such a great reveal and they did it so well and it made so much sense that I was like, why didn't I think of that?

[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Why?

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, what was, why didn't that even come to mind?

[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay, thank you very much.

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_06]: When the bell breaks was the episode in TNG.

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.

[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I was blinking out there.

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_06]: So that was so cool.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_06]: And I got the Doctor Who vibes, right?

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_06]: He's he's he's a tennis tennis ball going back for it in court.

[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_06]: He's trying to flip flop between linear time and whatever else he's gone through.

[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I loved the scene where he's like, does anyone need a sweater?

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Now of course my first reaction was, okay, because Wesley had a lot of sweaters in season one.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Shout out to your for pointing this out.

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_06]: The last thing that Beverly said to Wesley was, make sure you stay warm on that on those other planes of existence.

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_06]: The details is mind blowing.

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't even fathom just how well that was.

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I was like, oh my gosh, yes, he had sweaters.

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_06]: It was a killer, you know, tubers with one stone situation.

[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_06]: But then that was the last thing she said to him and he listened to her, which melted my heart a bit because I'm like, oh.

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_06]: He listened to his mom.

[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_06]: He's wearing sweaters because she wanted him to stay warm.

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, I was just like, and he even said he's all like, I got to save this place.

[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_06]: My mom lives here.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_06]: There's no way that I'm going to abandon this place and not try to save it.

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay says they did a fantastic job of leaving little hints.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_06]: It was Wesley while also misdirected you.

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, that's why it was so perfect because I was not expecting it and I don't think anyone else was either.

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_06]: I think people wanted Wesley to come back.

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_06]: They just didn't know how it was going to happen.

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And even a bunch of us still were just not.

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_06]: We just didn't see that that happening, but it was brilliantly done right now.

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, of course, back with Janeway. She's trying to look for the kids.

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_06]: This was that funny scene.

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_06]: For some reason I thought it was like episode four or five.

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_06]: But no, this is where they're going through the trans war conduit to try and find the kids.

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_06]: And Jellico's like, hey, I told you to go back to earth.

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_06]: What's going on?

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_06]: And she's like, I can't hold Edward, you know, and she's like, what?

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I wasn't lying.

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_06]: We are going through a trans war conduit.

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I love that scene.

[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_06]: I tweet that's where I tweeted out where I was like, I love Janeway.

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_06]: She's like my inner child.

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I just absolutely love her personality and it was perfect and her being an admiral now just makes it more fun.

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_06]: But but yeah, I definitely enjoyed all of that happening.

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course, you know, he's explaining going back to Wesley.

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_06]: He's explaining what is happening.

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_06]: He's talking about the different planes, the universe and all that stuff.

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And he's like, you know, it's all like a perfect thread.

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_06]: And once you pull on it, there's a hole in your favorite sweater.

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's where the hero paradox comes from.

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_06]: He said it starts small like Gwen being in two places at once.

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_06]: And then it just gets bigger and bigger and bigger, which is why the looms coming in again.

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I had mentioned this with Aaron my interview with Aaron.

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I had mentioned this with my interview with Dayton that this gave me Coda vibes because Wesley knew of this destruction coming through.

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_06]: And he had to save this universe.

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course they were they were destroying anything in existence.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_06]: They were time eaters just like the Davidians were and the Davidians weren't like time eaters.

[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_06]: They were just trying to destroy that timeline so then they could do this massive feast similar.

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, just just for different reasons.

[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_06]: But it was so well done.

[00:37:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And I just was love.

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_06]: I just loved hearing Will.

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_06]: It was so fun to see him in this action.

[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_06]: There was a parallel that Warf episode from TNG.

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, that's why Gwen was wearing that.

[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_06]: No, it wasn't parallels.

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_06]: It was time scape.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, that's where that armband comes so then they can be unfrozen.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course Wesley has one and so did Gwen but everyone else was frozen and they're trying to stop the loom.

[00:37:48] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course the loom is after Gwen because she's the paradox like destroy her and you'll they'll be able to feast on everything else.

[00:37:55] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's why they're going after her.

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_06]: That's why they try to go after her hollow devil.

[00:38:00] [SPEAKER_06]: But there was a lot of action, you know, action packed scenes here and there was a lot going on.

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course as they were able to escape, they tried to go hide and where do they land a 1960s office that's straight out of assignment earth from TOS, which the only reason why I know this episode is because I had Terry Gar and had a black cat.

[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't even tell you what the episode is about.

[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_06]: All I know is that it had a black cat.

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_06]: And as everyone knows like, I love my black cats, right?

[00:38:38] [SPEAKER_06]: You've seen Beverly, you see my Obi-Wan, like that's my love.

[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_06]: So I was excited that I at least knew a TOS reference for once.

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So pat myself on the back there.

[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, it was kind of funny because then then here's Wesley being Wesley where he's just like drinking the mango juice and all this stuff.

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_06]: And the kids are looking at him like this guy's nuts.

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Like why are we trusting our lives with him?

[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, he did just save us but they didn't know what to trust.

[00:39:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Even though rock knew exactly who Wesley was, the other kids were like, Jankham even said he was one nebula short of a galaxy.

[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Not too far off when it comes to a traveler, especially for Wesley who is human.

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so I think his brain capacity struggles a little bit.

[00:39:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't want to make an ADHD reference but I make an ADHD reference.

[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I've mentioned this about my kid.

[00:39:38] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, she just has a harder time trying to concentrate than normal people which I, you know,

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I even feel like I struggle in my own way and it's just not as bad as what my daughter goes through.

[00:39:51] [SPEAKER_06]: And so I feel like that's kind of Wesley's problem.

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, J did say hardcore code of vibes.

[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Like I said last week, it's amazing that they weren't aware of that story when they wrote this.

[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And yeah, they weren't.

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what was so brilliant about it.

[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And yes, very ADHD J.

[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_06]: And I know you understand.

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_06]: But he's trying to also think on his feet because he literally just told the travelers,

[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, I'm going to save this place.

[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_06]: And now he has to think of a plan like really quick.

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_06]: So anyways, I think that was just a brilliant entrance for Wesley.

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_06]: It was definitely well done.

[00:40:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I absolutely loved it.

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course, Janeway does find the planet and it's going to be now her turn to try and see what is going on.

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_06]: On this planet.

[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_06]: This is where things get interesting.

[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_06]: So I definitely loved how this was going.

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_06]: But but yeah, so let's go ahead and get this next one, the final episode of this, you know, the six through 10 here.

[00:41:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's not a hard, not a hard title.

[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_06]: It is the devour of all things part two.

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_06]: They had no idea what they were looking for.

[00:42:21] [SPEAKER_06]: That loom is pretty nasty.

[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not I'm not going to lie.

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_06]: It has like a mixture of spider and I don't know what's going on with the face, but that's not something to look.

[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_06]: And I found this interesting because like when Middleton was about to die, it's all in slow motion.

[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_06]: That's brutal, right?

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Because it's instead of having a quick death, they're dying extremely slow.

[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And so they're slowly disintegrating.

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's just that was rough, you know, but then because Tysus hit his thing, it made it go fast and Middleton was was spared that horrible death.

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna lie like that's pretty.

[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_06]: I was even a little it was a little it was a little much.

[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't plan for this.

[00:43:34] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, he's trying to do things on his feet.

[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_06]: And he has like no idea what to do at this point.

[00:43:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, of course, Tysus decides to leave.

[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Magell is like, No, he goes back up and realizes that these these creatures are a racing people because he still had the armband he remembered Middleton, but Janeway and the doctor did not.

[00:44:02] [SPEAKER_06]: And so they're trying to figure out what to do at this point.

[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_06]: But Magell is trying to find zero and everybody.

[00:44:10] [SPEAKER_06]: The kids realize Magell is out there, but Wesley's like, No, she's going to have to die in order for us to save the prime, the prime universe.

[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_06]: But the kids were like, No, we're not going to do that.

[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, I think Janko Mima said he's all like, So we just heard her last words and we're supposed to be okay with it.

[00:44:32] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, that was pretty rough for Wesley to just be like, No, she's going to have to die.

[00:44:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Sorry guys.

[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_06]: And I get it at Wesley has been gone for so long and he has seen how the littlest thing can have an effect.

[00:44:48] [SPEAKER_06]: But if they didn't go against him, this whole thing would have failed whole thing because he even said later on he was like, Oh, it was seven all along.

[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_06]: It wasn't six.

[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_06]: They needed Magell.

[00:45:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's where it was like go kids.

[00:45:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And for Wesley, he hasn't been a part of a group in a very long time.

[00:45:11] [SPEAKER_06]: A part of a crew.

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_06]: So this was definitely harder for him because he always just made the decisions and went with it.

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Now he has this bunch of kids that are trying to help him, but he has to also listen to them as well.

[00:46:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay says real quick Magell is named after Magell Barrett.

[00:46:25] [SPEAKER_06]: And she was of course, LaWox on a Troy from TNG and we absolutely adore her.

[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_06]: So this woman is our heart.

[00:46:33] [SPEAKER_06]: So I love that they did pay tribute to her with this character.

[00:46:47] [SPEAKER_06]: It's funny because kids are watching this and I'm all like, oh my gosh, if I'm going to have nightmares,

[00:46:53] [SPEAKER_06]: So they did kind of have a cute little face, but not in a way of like being a race from existence that kind of spoils everything.

[00:47:03] [SPEAKER_06]: He also says that that is what Janeway is all about.

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_06]: She did the same thing with the board.

[00:47:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, she's always about saving her crew.

[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_06]: She would do anything.

[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_06]: She would never abandon them.

[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_06]: But this was a bit much like I don't think she realized just how badly this was, even though Tyson's just came back and explained it to her.

[00:47:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Seeing it in person was was was rough.

[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:47:27] [SPEAKER_06]: So of course, you know, Wesley does figure out that Michelle was needed to be there.

[00:47:35] [SPEAKER_06]: And as Janeway figures out how to just, you know, at least hurt the loom.

[00:47:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't really say that she destroyed him, but she did hurt a few of them.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_06]: She takes off like she doesn't even have her admiral uniform.

[00:47:49] [SPEAKER_06]: She's on full on tank top and she goes and she's low like, you know, it reminded me of that scene in Alien.

[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Aliens actually were ripping was low like get away from her you bitch.

[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_06]: That was Janeway, but in a kid friendly way.

[00:48:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_06]: So she takes the loom out.

[00:48:10] [SPEAKER_06]: She tries to destroy him.

[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_06]: It gives the kids time to, you know, have Wesley send them off to go find Chico take because that was the whole point.

[00:48:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And she did kill a couple of them.

[00:48:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I think she landed her ship on.

[00:48:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I saw one was dead.

[00:48:24] [SPEAKER_06]: And when she figures out it's Wesley Crusher, she's like, Wesley, what?

[00:48:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And he's like, I knew you would be here.

[00:48:32] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, Wesley is just hilarious.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_06]: I bet will had such a blast doing this because it's just so different and it was so out of the box and it was hilarious.

[00:48:43] [SPEAKER_06]: And I thought it was great, but she did trust Wesley in this moment.

[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_06]: She trusted the kids to be able to do it.

[00:48:50] [SPEAKER_06]: They're like, we have a way to say Chico take.

[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's us do it.

[00:48:53] [SPEAKER_06]: And she let them.

[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't think she realized though that I don't think Janeway thought that Wesley was going to sacrifice himself.

[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I really, I didn't expect it.

[00:49:07] [SPEAKER_06]: But I thought it was cool.

[00:49:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I was a bit nervous though when Wesley shot Janeway away, the kids are gone and he's all like blows up the planet.

[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I got worried because I thought maybe that's why Beverly in season three of the cards said I lost my son.

[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Like he actually like we just all Wesley die.

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Crap.

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Like I was, I was not sure this is how they do it though because then I had to keep binging.

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_06]: There was no way I was going to stop now because at first I was planning on just 10 the first 10 episodes.

[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Nope.

[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_06]: My whole day was done for at that moment because I was like, I really need to see what's going on.

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_06]: So of course the kids land on this.

[00:50:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's call it a very tattooing planet.

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_06]: And they find your coat and the protostar.

[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_06]: He looked like he was having a good old time though, sitting there.

[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_06]: He had a smile on his face.

[00:50:53] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, maybe he's just reminiscing.

[00:50:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe who's just thinking maybe is the gonna Janeway?

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_06]: That's for the JC shippers out there.

[00:51:01] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, they get a happy happy times.

[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, that was a great way to end this first half of the season from how the episode one went to episode 10.

[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Mind blowing.

[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_06]: It just absolutely mind blowing.

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And I felt that this was it was just so great to see Wesley backs that I just had the best time watching it.

[00:51:29] [SPEAKER_06]: I was so excited.

[00:51:31] [SPEAKER_06]: And of course, I had to know I was like, please tell me Beverly is in this.

[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Please tell me that Gates came back will held the secret of him being on prodigy for almost four years.

[00:51:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Like if anyone knows an NDA, it's will we okay.

[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_06]: He played all of us every single one of us.

[00:51:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Even when season three of the card had come out, he had written a comment on his Facebook about well, this is why Wesley hasn't seen his mom.

[00:52:02] [SPEAKER_06]: And it was totally out there and we accepted it because I thought, yeah, I could see that he was steering us in a whole different direction so that we wouldn't think that his character return will readens a genius.

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, I'm just going to say that right now.

[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_06]: And I am so happy he is back.

[00:52:19] [SPEAKER_06]: He is getting all the love and attention that he has always deserved in this type of Wesley is so fun.

[00:52:27] [SPEAKER_06]: And I loved the character growth that we will see in the rest of the season.

[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_06]: But I was just so excited.

[00:52:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't even I can't even tell you now Jay says I feel like after 10 years there we had made peace with the idea of never leaving.

[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_06]: And then sigh science fiction remnant says, take only Star Trek to do a show for kids and still keep all the science and techno babble love Star Trek.

[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_06]: We love Star Trek.

[00:52:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Like this was the best way of it is not even just the science and the tech to babble.

[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:53:03] [SPEAKER_06]: It was literally giving us nostalgia in a way that makes sense.

[00:53:10] [SPEAKER_06]: It follows the story.

[00:53:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Everything was connected.

[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Even like I said earlier, the smallest little thing worked.

[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_06]: The sweater thing still blows my mind.

[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_06]: But I just loved how well it just worked and it just kept you wanting more.
